This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

This is the cheapest 3900X I have seen so far. Obviously OEM but I’m not sure many of us would use a stock fan. Might be the deal you’ve been looking for to pull the trigger on the 3900x

was the retail Ryzen 9 3900 £480 then because stock it shot up to £560 or something i am going to grab a 3950 in jan just hope the price does not go OTT
Yeah the prices have gone up due to demand. My understanding is that the recommended RRP is £500 for this chip. But I may be wrong.
It’s a shame that the postage pushed it up to the £500 mark. But it’s still the cheapest 3900X I’ve seen.
I know it shouldn't be an issue but why does this only come with one year warranty?

I had an email from AMD. I clicked the link. It said order here, but then out of stock. Tried the next day and bingo. £709.52 Inc vat.

No fan and it recommends water cooling.

This was the link (says out of stock just now)

It came with some free games too. Borderlands 3 I think... Not downloaded them yet!

what board are you using ?would you think aosus master x570 to be good ? or recommend other ?

cooling is bugging me too ... noctua air or water .. not too keen on water ...

I wasn't expecting it to arrive yet, so I don't have a board yet! I have ordered the cheap MSI X570 Gaming plus - I hope I don't regret it. Most of the bad reviews appear to be related to faulty boards.

Ordered a Corsair Hydro 100i that was Black Friday'd at £80.

This is all to upgrade my missus's PC as she keeps using my i9900 based PC for video editing

You sure you got this from AMD and not a third party seller? There is not a buy direct button on the whole AMD site for any CPUs, only for certain countries (which doesn't include the UK) and third party retailers.

Bought direct from the AMD website (there is a button on the link I posted). Sent by Digital River (Ireland) (although that could just be the free games) posted from Netherlands.

I had been trying to buy the 3900X this way for a while, but it was never in stock - except the first time I tried it (and decided to think about it)

I did get very excited by the "£500 price" when ordering, but then they added VAT at the last moment

It was available to buy directly on the AMD website for a very limited time

It's because it's an OEM package rather than retail, it's intended for system builders.

My 3950X arrived today

I've been waiting for the 3950X and a bit annoying after them 'building up stock' that there seems to be none available so decided to go for a 3900x for now. Well done on managing to bag one though and great price as well.
The button to add to basket seems to have now disappeared.

Yeah, that's what got me a bit confused. I wasn't doubting you actually bought one, but couldn't work out how you did it...;)
