ALL RYZEN CPU'S HAVE HAD A £30-£50 DROP OVERNIGHT. Awesome price for a very good mid-range CPU. Comparable to Intel's i5 chips (Intel performs slightly better in games but AMD performs much better in rendering etc).

CPU has 4 cores with 8 threads for high performance gaming and processing, plus XFR. Also comes with cooler.

Doesn't seem like much of a deal; RRP isn't it?
1600x for £30 more is a much better value proposition IMHO.

Or the i5 8400. Both come with more cores for very little more.

The usual complaint about that is the lack of stock and that the motherboards start at £120.
Eventually it will be a compelling CPU once the lower price chipset boards are released and there is stock availble.

RRP was 190 at launch, most places sell for 160-170

Who sells the 1600X for £180 as maybe that would be worth posting as a deal?

Well, it's a £132 shipped to the UK, so a pretty good deal.

Not voting, since some will prefer to buy it from Amazon UK if they don't have a fee free currency card.

Expensive motherboard though for i5 8400.

if you can wait i would personally go for the ryzen 5 1600 when it goes on offer. They can be had for around 170-180 if you keep your eyes open so would make a lot better deal in my opinion.

I did exactly this. It wasn't much more money for 2 extra cores and 2 extra threads and will be the better buy in the long run.

I did the same thing, the 1500x is an excellent cpu but the 1600 is the sweet spot in the Ryzen lineup.

Ummm...119 now for Prime
