Tacavas02/01/2020 21:03

Add delivery, yes

Can't believe how much value for money these are I thought they were a steal last year at £160
This or 2700X for about £60-£80 more?
Gaming and general stuff. Plus maybe some video editing.

I'd go for this it's plenty enough for your requirements and hard to say no too at this price
10 years since I last upgraded... what else would I need for a Non game rig ?
16gb ram, video card ? most intensive thing I do is convert the odd video.
TIA

take a look at the info on mine to help u build up: hotukdeals.com/dea…022

go for RX570 if not much gaming to still give u a nice graphical option.

excellent find @Tacavas

A RX 570 is going to cost you £130 - pointless if you don't play games. The cheapest GPU worth bothering with is a GT 1030 which costs £70+

You'd be better off going for a 3400G for £120 (which is an APU equivalent in performance to a GT 1030 card) and not far off in CPU performance terms (+1%).

Don't regret my 3400g for my low powered build. Overclocked the Vega graphics to 1650mhz and it plays Skyrim special edition at 1440p medium settings. Now I know it's not the most demanding game but when I look at the PC and there is no GPU in there It still shocks me how good AMD integrated graphics are.
4GB RX570 would be overkill... but can be had for £109 from CCL or £102 when an ebay comes on, so a worthy investment over the 1030, but i agree it will be overkill.. have a check out of this: hotukdeals.com/dea…867

or if u do wanna go down the route of RX570

... so a 3400 doesn't need a graphics card at all , and the 2600 does ? thought the mobo with a vga (or whatever) output had some sort of graphics... or have I got this totally wrong ?

Say I chose this :
amazon.co.uk/Gig…8-1

the 2600 wouldn't provide any video via the mobo port ?

No. It wouldn't.

Get the 2700 for about £20 more than this, then overclock it to match the 2700X. The X series processors are a bit of a scam in my eyes, as they have an overclock pre applied, but functionally, they are the exact same CPU.

You'd be better off buying a 2400G. Same price but it comes with integrated VEGA GPU:

Throw it into a mini case like this and Bob's your uncle....

I seen that before for 133 but 113.99 with the card, if you're getting the card that would be a great deal

The motherboard's display ports only work if you install an APU.

The A320M-S2H you linked to won't work with a Ryzen 2/3xxx chip until its BIOS is updated using a 1st gen Ryzen CPU. There are several MSI B450 MAX boards between £55 and £90 which work with all Ryzen chips. If you must cheap out on the board, buy a CPU/MB combo from CCL/AWD and get them to update the BIOS for you.

Someone suggested a 2400G - your choice, but the 3400G costs just £6 more and offers 13% extra performance.
