Another day another tacavas ryzen 2600 deal lol

This is too good to miss
I'm very outdated with building PCs these days, would this be a good cpu choice for an ITX case? Also any recommended motherboard?
My current build is struggling with 4K media.
Thanks

I have this in an ITX build on the ASRock B450 Gaming ITX/ac, which I recommend... it's my second ASRock board and both boards have been rock solid for me... they use high quality components.

You just cant go wrong at this price. So much power and value. Buy without any regrets or zen 2 envy.

Excellent CPU. I have the 2600x in my gaming rig. You'd need an AM4 motherboard, as mentioned above a b450 is perfect.
Blooming heck @Tacavas . This is an absolute inferno. The last few deals were scorchingly good, but this just keeps getting better! What a chip for the dosh! Heat added!
Same price on Amazon now. They must have priced matched it. I'm so tempted but just holding out for prime day just incase it drops further.
Would the 2700 be worth the extra? If OC'ing?
Slightly off topic, just ordered via amazon using the £10 assistant discount, £102.97

don't think prime day will be any cheaper, still need a B450 motherboard and ram tho so hopefully they might be discounted

Worth checking the Corsair shop for the RAM. They had some really good deals on the other day.

Nuts remember there is no built in graphics in Ryzen. You can’t even post without a dedicated GPU. for small form factor media centre PCs, you are better getting an APU. the 3600g has just been release or the older 2400g/2200g would be great for media use. Low power and no GPU required.
Is the stealth the rgb cooler?

Is the stealth the rgb cooler?

No. It’s the plain black one. Smallest of the AMD stock coolers. I didn’t bother and went right for a 212 Evo, but the AMD coolers are very good.
102.97 on amazon with the 10 off code from amazon assistant. Salty Heated added regardless. Still a good price
The CRUCIAL 3000 mhz cas 15 ram is the one to look for, it hits ~ 3400 cas 16 when tweaked.
(I have heard of better results)
But thats gonna max out a 2XXX ryzen chip.
Little point messing about with really expensive B / whatever die ram for another 2%.

Worth upgrading from a 1600? Got student offer so it’s £100 too. Only demanding game I play is GTA at 1080p, maybe 1440p

these prices are very tempting but imo if your mobo supports it, 3600 is way to go! 20-30% more powerful than even a 2600 for £190! if you need to wait a couple more months to pay the difference, do so, 3600 might even come down a bit more to £170 by then?

Thanks for this - I’ll probably just buy this for a friend then and wait

Yeah, its amazing what some suckers were paying for it too..A.M.D. are saying ryzen 3XXX will max out about 3700 mhz ram but it will be interesting to see the performance scaling.
I bet beyond 3400 its wasted money. (again, like another 2 or 3% so clocking the cheap crucial gear is the way to go )
