Saw the similar deals for the 3600x and seemed even better value with the 3600. Just add the CPU when buying the motherboard and can also add a power supply as well.

The best deals over BF for the 3600 was £172 and the MoBo for £82, so this undercuts them by over £10. +1

Does it come with the cooler when you buy it this way?
Does this have the CPU pre-installed?
This is a good combo for a budget build. Heat from me.

If you hover over the info icon it says:
"The CPU will be fitted to the motherboard and the Cooler will be shipped in a seperate box.
The Ryzen retail box is not supplied."

Purchased w/ Ryzen 5 3600 - this is a good £50 cheaper than I've seen across Scan, Ebuyer, Nova, and Amazon.

Also hot because a lot of places have sold out of either the motherboard or ram which means additional postage cost across multiple vendors. Next day was £6 on this for the lot.

I added this; Update my BIOS to Latest Version (+£4.95), was that needed?

Not really, the max version supports 3rd gen out of the box

Ah well. They can keep the 5 quid haha
It’s worth noting that the 3600 isn’t valid for the free game offer that the 3600X is valid for. You can probably sell that for £20-30 making the small boost in power from the 3600X pretty cheap indeed. And if you actually want Borderlands 3, it’s definitely the better deal.
It’s out of stop the mobo

I got the 3600 got £154. Can buy b450 for £90. Was hoping the b450 would hit £80ish

Not necessarily a bad thing. My Tomahawk Max arrived from a different vendor with a Sept-19 version BIOS unlisted on the MSI website. Never had so much trouble getting a set of simple components to run stable (T-Max, 2600X, 2x Patriot 3200 8GB RAM, RX580 Nitro+, M2 SSD).
After days of reseating components, reinstalling Windows and flashing to latest BIOS it *seems* stable now.
Updating the BIOS is very easy, just a case of downloading and unzipping the right files to a USB stick and clicking the update option in BIOS (or booting with the stick in the flashback USB slot).
Back in stock 37 available. Fill your boots.
Time to upgrade from my aging 4690k yet? I've had the 3600x recommended to me, but I'm just not sure I'll see enough of an upgrade, just yet, to justify the outlay.

Tbh paired with my gtx1080 it's still holding up reasonably well for a CPU of that age.

If its just for gaming, web browsing, etc, not much point unless your graphics card is CPU bound or you are getting a new graphics card that will be.

I'm in the same boat but my CPU is starting to really struggle in gaming.
2600x for £120 plus a £70 (as rock b450 pro4) or this 3600 bundle?
Cracking deal this is, taking the board in isolation at £90, leaves the processor costing only £152.34, which is the cheapest R5 3xxx series CPU so far.

Very, very hot!

Easier decision for me to upgrade from a 2500k. Even that sandybridge chip has withstood the test of time though.

For me, the Ryzen 3000 series seems to offer a true generational leap in single threaded performance. The multi-thread is a bonus and should become more relevant for me in future games as next gen consoles are likely to be hexacore also.

I’m betting we see more modest performer gains in Ryzen 4000,5000 chips so seems like a good time to jump onboard to me.

Zen3 is a new build, dumping the CCX's in favour of a die with X-number of cores, and unified cache. Add to that the 7nm+ process, and you should get a good bump in performance/speed, and slight efficiency increase as well.

Waiting for the new architecture appeals to my logic I have to admit, especially if had the 4690k to keep things ticking over in the meantime.

Suppose only time will tell if zen3 delivers such a big leap again.

Nonetheless, there is no doubt that this deal is a bargain. Voted Hot!(y)
What about for a new build this deal, versus the £72 asrock b450 pro4 and a 2600x for £120?

This one defo.
Anyone know the lead time on these as they need to preassemble?

Also getting a 1080ti for a great price so anyone familiar with this set up?
Bought two - disappointed by Black Friday and Cyber Monday prices so this was a surprise.
Has anyone received theirs yet? I was going to order but looking online they have terrible reviews and it seems stange that everywhere else is sold out but they have huge ammouts of stock. Thanks

They don’t use retail CPUs so they’re from a separate channel. You’re essentially buying a pre-built PC (with all the other parts missing), rather than a bundle of retail components.

Yep which is why the price is so much lower vs elsewhere. I got mine today. The motherboard came in a standard Tomahawk Max box but the cooler was in a small unbranded black box.

They are paying volume builder prices for the Ryzen CPU's then putting the CPU onto a motherboard to undercut everyone else price wise. I'm also betting there's something in their purchasing contract which prevents them selling these CPU's on their own but this way they can neatly get around that.

Yes I did.
Received mine yesterday. The wraith cooler has a notch sticking out with the AMD writing on it - had to cut/Dremel this off to make it fit.
Otherwise it will be I. Contact with another heatsink or block a ram slot of fitted the other way round.

Not too sure why you had to do this, mine fit perfectly.
I added a Corsair 650m PSU to the bundle (which was also a cracking price). Delivered Friday. Built the pc over the weekend. Running like a dream now.
I had a query regarding the AMD raise the game promo which they responded to very quickly, even though I emailed on Sunday evening. Very impressed with the service.

Yeh same, I am not very impressed with how they handle the orders, mine was stuck on processing for a couple of days and just a single email with the purchase nothing else. Hopefully it arrives soon though...
