The ram upgrade for 16gb adata gammix 3000mhz is very good price with todays increased prices so worth adding. The Corsair CV650 is cheaper on their website if purchased seperately from the bundle (£54.99) (dont know why) but if purchased seperately then it is also a good price
Is the RAM included? In your description it mentions memory being assembled but I don't see any other mention of it.

Can anyone tell me if this configuration is good for editing UHD videos, please?

An 8gb GPU would be much better imo
For UHD video you probably want as many threads and as much ram as you can get. I’m sure a google would say more but I would expect that a business orientated threadripper build with at least 32gb of Ram would be most suitable if using it as a professional. The above system does have good overall specs and would be able to do the work... just slower I’d expect.

Not really for 4K. 1080p should be fine though.

I am confused really because i have 5 yo cheap laptop with 4gb ram, intel core i3 integrated graphic and I dont have problem editing UHD videos (i mean Filmora runs good, sometimes gets frozen but its still fine). So i thought any nrw pc will be good.

It depends what you are doing. If you are editing 4K video and expecting to be able to skip back and forward you have a high demand need.

If you want to put in some star wipes and join 3 separate files together you could probably use a chrome book!
If an old i3 with integrated graphics is OK , that system you listed would be smooth. The processor is good and the graphics card will offer a big increase in potential compared to onboard.

Thank you.
Yes, I have around 10-15 UHD clips which I need to cut. Add music, add transitions, filters sometimes and thats it really.

If you can personally manage UHD video editing on a machine that doesn’t even have a dedicated gpu I think you’re probably ok buying anything to be honest.

Most people would go for something like a 1660ti for 4K editing.

They are charging £2-300 over self build prices. It cost me about £1000 to build ryzen 3600 with 2070 super. They are charging £1400. It's good to have 0% interest but if it ain't a bargain.

Some great deals here given how hard it is to get anything at the minute. 3600 incl mobo coming out as a few quid cheaper than buying the parts separately

Don't add the video card or windows. Buy them separate. If you just buy the bare bones you can get a bargain. Then source the rest on hotukdeals, simples
hi all, could someone advise whether this mobo/CPU be compatible with the crucial ballistix 16gb 3600mhz uk.crucial.com/mem…4bl ?
As far as I'm aware you should really pay the extra few quid and get 3600 MHz Ram when buying this CPU as it is very beneficial.

Yep would work great
In real terms you kinda paying £140 for that mobo, because the 1600af is really not that far behind this cpu priced at under £90

Its all down to budget, the 3600 is noticeably quicker, Infact its stupidly powerful for the price and in this combo. Having a 3600 means for games and light PC use you really have the most CPU youll need.
But the 1600af does indeed offer better value if your willing to sacrifice a bit of performance.

To me its win either way. AMD really have hit it out of the park giving us what intel would like to be HEDT for budget build prices.
Awesome.
Anyone know if it's the Spire or Stealth cooler that comes in this bundle?

when you are getting over 80 fps @1080p im not sure another 12 is going to be noticeable, when you play at 1440p or higher it is within 2 fps, 4k there is no difference to speak of for most modern threaded games.

The shorter one comes with the 3600 and the taller one with 3600x. Forgot which is which, I assume spire is taller.

Whether they come with these builds I don’t know, I can confirm what the 3600 comes with next week though when it arrives.

correct..... thats why u strip the box deals down in the cust (as posted on here) then u build them up = extra value ;-)
When the 3rd generation lauched.

3600 = £180 3600x = £230
Get the 3600 over the 3600x, and if you were worried about the gap in performance = o.c / Add aftermarket if u wanted the best cooler inc in the 3600x, so get the 3600......

at Xmas: the 3600x came down to £180, while the 3600 was £170....... winner: 3600x.................

however:
get 2nd generation 2600x (the 2600 was pointless at a fiver less..).. if it means u stick more cash onto the GPU...... £50 for ages value difference, which is the gap say of a RX590(dropped just above RX580... - 1660super (old prices here...)

than the 3600 this year dropped to the likes of the 150...... while the 2600x moved a nodge to £115..... (occasional dipped but not for long, usual a code offer which most unless ur here wont know about)..

but at the same time the 2700.... dropped... to £130 so was worth to get a 2700 over a 2600x and folks continued on the bases go older more cash on gpu....

then the af1600 came along £82 at first, then £87...... which took over the idea of the 2600, more on to gpu if ur a budget person.,

now the AF is upto £95...... 2600 £113 so still get the AF i guess... the 3600 is high, at £165.. so go 2nd generation or AF!..
on the basis of more cash on GPU,

but the golden rule off thumb in my eye.
1600af-2600x = rx580 rx590 1650 super 1660 super.

5600xt ............. middle ground.

3600 cpu = 2060+/5700+

thats my guide.......

however some will get a 3600/rx580 as its an easier upgrade laters on.

and the 2700x vs 3600...... for ages = 3600 better gamer cpu, but the 2700x will give a good bang for buck back again in 2021 no doubt.

Depending on the case/price of the spire you might just be better off grabbing something totally different.

Personally I’m not sure what I would do, not sure it’s worth sticking a pricey fan on a £150 cpu.

If only there was an app that let you track bargains to encourage my decision making

It's a new build, I decided on the 270r case, so I'm thinking the Arctic 34 esports will do the trick.
@sarden84

I just wanted to say thanks for all your efforts on the PC side of this website. You have been very helpful. I am still rocking a 2011 4670k I have a 5700 sapphire and game occasionally at 1080 although I do a lot of compression (but to be fair, i5 is "fine").

I have some questions:

1. R53600x vs R72700x ?
2. This board, Tomahawk Max or Mortar Max? (something else?)
3. Is 3600 memory pointless?
