The budget AM5 line doesn't really make sense because of that... Also they've released the non X versions with a lower RRP but since the X line are selling below RRP there's no reason to get one.

Have these got the vc1 video decoding and are they good for building a media company later for 4k and hdr and all the new video codec hdmi 2.1 playback as wanting to upgrade mine.

This is a CPU not a GPU. It has VC-1 decode. It doesn't have AV1 decode. It's the latest generation of AMD processors.

Coupled with a decent GPU it'll do everything you want.
