£238 @ technextday with code TND-10. Maybe wait for an eBay code as it went as low as £228 before (edited)

The 3D cache models will probably be announced and released at CES the first week in January. It seems the lowest end one will still be an 8 core so this will remain the step below them for gaming.

Those 3D cache models will probably be the fastest gaming CPUs available when they launch and it will likely stay that way for some time.

They will however almost certainly be sold at quite a premium which will mean this CPU is going to still be good value for performance.

13600K is faster, runs cooler and has cheaper motherboards and overpriced ddr5 isn't required unlike AMD
    Ok mr Intel

    Prices dropping to earth prices
Competition tends to do that. AMD did the same thing to Intel when Zen 3 stomped all over it's 9th-11th Gen CPUs. Intel is now returning the favour. If cooling is not a factor then Intel 13th Gen wins any like for like comparison with Zen 4. (edited)

One thing to bear in mind is that CPUs have plateaued at least for gaming. Pick one and it should last a decade.
