ASUS are currently doing a cashback offer on PCs and PC Components of up to £280 Cashback which can be COMBINED with the £25 'Rate My Gear' Cashback offer which allows up to £60 Combined Cashback on certain motherboards. This can alleviate costs if you were planning to buy an ASUS TUF GAMING Motherboard for AM5 or any ASUS TUF GAMING PC Component. Here are the links:

    promotion.asus.com/en/uk/23q2-tuf-gaming-cashback (expires 27th April)

    asus.com/uk/campaign/RateMyGear/ (expires 30th June) (edited)

This has a bit better performance than 5800X3D, but requires a new platform.

The problem isn't these CPUs, but their motherboards. Personally I'm sticking with my Zen 3 setup until the next revision of Zen 4 at least... maybe by that time there will actually be GPUs and SSDs that use PCIe 5.
