Saw this on Maplin's website, seems like a good deal, not sure how the warranty process will work, though, since they're in administration

Since they are closing down. I take it they won't accept the 10% NUC card?

As long as they are around long enough for any legal proceedings or the threat thereof...
Personally I would not touch mail order. In the shop only, so the goods are handed over when the cash is.

I returned faulty goods two days ago and got a cash refund (in-store) as their card systems were down and I was bored after waiting for 20 minutes - not going well for them...

Honestly, I wouldn't buy anything else from them now, I can only imagine warranty/returns will get more difficult as time progresses and even if it's in violation of Consumer Rights Act, will be very hard to agree with a company that's in administration and you will be way down the creditor list.

yes but does'nt that apply only if you spend over £100 (clearly this item is)?
Could always RMA anyway, just send it back to AMD.

S75 protection means credit card company are JOINTLY liable for providing your statutory rights, so just go after the CC company if you have any issues and forget Maplin.

Or just don’t buy from them. Yes, you have Section 75 assuming you spent more than £100, but honestly, what a load of easily avoidable hassle...
