It's rumoured to be around $329 so I'm expecting £329 too, leaked benchmark showed that there's only about 10-20% performance increase so I don't know if it's worth paying for about 30-40% more for 10-20% performance increase

yep offically its sposed to be $/£ 329 but apparenty overclockers is planning to have a lower price than that.. so either 299/309/319

lets see

As for the performance it looks as if it should do 4.3ghz on all cores.. 4.5ghz if you want to push 1.7v though (and then have a toasted mini square at the end)

Your own usaage will determine if you wish to buy the 2700x: not gonna get into the 4 core or "I need high ipc" comments (ipc is variable (even on the same chip); cos it depends on what you are doing) . There is also a rumour that the 2800x will come later..

Wait a while IMO.
£253.99 from a third party seller - but buying from Amazon for a few extra quid is probably wise.
I say the other Ryzen 7 are better value than this one now as the new ones are about to come out.

The 1800x is the fastest of the Ryzen 7 but likely any of the lower Ryzen 7 2xxx series should be faster for the same price and all come with CPU coolers.

10-20% performance increase I more than Intel has been pushing out for a few years. Excluding Sandybridge and 8 series core bumps.
Price wise I agree to a degree but additional performance is always a diminishing return.

Yep which is why I went for a 1600x at £149 yesterday. I don't see the additional expense at the moment being worth the additional cores and speed.
compared to other AMD chips and the upcoming 2xxx yes you can argue value, but compared to intel, or what we had 18 months ago. 16 threads and 4ghz for this price? Its still an incredible bargain
Overclockers have posted their ryzen 2 prices and the 2600x is £209.99 from them. Now it does contain a cooler bit its still £35 more than the 1600x and cooler I bought yesterday.
The overclockers price for the 2700x (there isn't a 2800x being released) is £299.99 - given that it includes a cooler and the 1800x doesn't I actually don't think the 1800x above is value.
