So for the same price as an intel 6 core 6 thread CPU you can get a 8 core 16 thread cpu which is rouhly similar in gaming but tans the arse of intel in all other ways.

Bargain to start with and to add salt into the wounds, this deal makes it even cheaper.
Omg
Hot AF.
Great price, these seem to be getting cheaper by the day.

And don't forget the half decent cooler that comes with it!
Very good ... BUT .. I still think theres some dampness to be wrung out of this dishcloth .. also some may want the smaller (height) cooler.
The MAX versions seem <meh>
Would prefer to source from Amazon themselves, too many reports of dodgy resellers of CPUs. Anyone care to comment on this particular seller?

Excellent price. Were it not for life circumstances, I'd take the plunge now, if only for faster Blender renders. (Baking takes SO long on a 4770...)

Edit: so looking around this would give me about double the multi threaded performance and a little more single core perf than the i7-4770. The Ryzen 7 3700, by comparison, is more than double the price but doesn't give double the perf of the 2700.

I think in the UK, right now, this is probably the best cpu deal on the market.
