I don’t think you’ll get the 3 months Game Pass PC with this tbh. You might get it if you argue it’s still a 2700x with customer service, but it won’t be included otherwise.

Is it not still a bit overpriced compared to the 3600 ?

I've an MSI X370 board with 32GB of Ram and a Be Quiet Case and PSU.
Just need a cpu ,need a good machine for multitasking ,with loads of tabs and browsers open .
Not interested in gaming .
3700x looks nice ,bit expensive and I'm unsure how well the X370 will handle it .
Any recommendations ?

does the 3600 come with cpu fan? this 2700x does. quite a decent one too.

performance wise they are pretty similar from all the reviews. 3600 has about 8% better performance, and the 7nm newer architecture, 2700x has the extra 2 cores but at 12nm architecture.

but you might want to google if the 3600 has issues with your motherboard, which might swing it for you.

if you don't have a compatible fan with the 3600, you'll need to buy one by the looks of it.

also the none gold edition is available on amazon for £193. if you decide to get 2700x over the 3600. I'd save the 7 quid here, as gold edition is just a fancy box, the freebies such as tshirt armband are finished i think.

The 3600 does come with a CPU fan .

Thanks for the advice ,I've ordered the standard 2700x now .
The 3600 is supposed to be a good chip but dont have time to be messing with Bios and settings with the 3600 or the 3000 series at the moment , I just want something plug and play that will work from the off.
The X370 would need a Bios update anyway ,I'd have to take the Ryzen 1700x out of my other PC to do that .
