This and the 3600 seem to be the chips to go for depending on your use case.

I am not a Gamer. Which one to choose?
for £180ish bucks, its Ryz 7 2700x vs ryz 3600, both have advantages, 8c/16t vs 6c/12c

For gaming and general pc use: 3600, for high end multitasking: id go for the 2700x, so it really depends on what u mean ur not a gamer...

if your not in a hurry, wait for the 3500x which should be around £135.00. and only a fraction under a 3600 in performance, but for the price that, £45 quid is worth saving...
Id say the 3600 is the way to go, gaming or not. The 2700x only shows a small advantage if you have all the threads fully loaded.

BUT, the 2700x comes with a decent cooler, the 3600's is intel quality. So while id pick a 3600, if you dont have a cooler for it that needs to be factored into the price - making the 2700x a bit more attractive.

How many cores on the 3500x. I have the 1500x with 4 cores , 8 threads. If the 3500x follows this I’d go for the additional core on the 3600 if you can afford. Cores seem to be becoming more important.
Do we recommend the 3600 or 3600x ? Is it worth the extra cost? Mainly used for gaming, and by gaming I mean loosing at PUBG! (Paired with a GTX 1070)

3600 and overclock

2700x is a bit obsolete now
Hot stuff.
Same price at AmazonFYI. Got mine from Amazon for Thistle price last week (still the same price now). However this is still a decent price for the CPU for what you get.
