Is the free game offer not through AMD and not the merchant?

No, but they are participating with the games pass offer just not the games
Unless it's changed since November when I got 3700x on amazon they do give 2 codes. 1 for gamepass and 1 for 1 of the games. Can't see why it would change now but it may have done.

How are you getting on with the setup? I am thinking of getting one with an MSI X570 Carbon Pro and 32GB 3600 speed RAM. I wanted the 3900x but the price is too high for me really.

Have a look on YouTube, gamer nexus/actually hard-core over clocking for info on that board. I'll try and find the link for you when I'm home but the asus tuf x570 plus came out better for that price category, as far as I remember.

Hi, thanks. That would be good. I am going to get a case where you can see the board etc and I will be honest, the carbon version looks damn good haha. That was another one of the main reasons I have gone for that.

No worries it's a nice looking board but definitely do your research on your components, especially if you are thinking of over clocking in the future, although the 'X' cpu's don't leave much room for oc but your ram should have a bit also.

Out of curiosity, what GPU are you going with?

I'll get the link to the boards overview when I get a chance in a couple of hours for you

Yeah, I have been reading and reading as I have not put a gaming rig together for many years. I am going with the 5700XT I think, as again this seems pretty good value vs the 2080 range.

I have a Radeon Sapphire Pulse RX580 at the moment in my old stock setup (7 years old now) so it is definitely time. I may even run the RX580 for a few months first as I need to save for the 5700XT anyway.

I will leave the AMD Ryzen 3700x as stock as the OC is minimal anyway by the looks of things.

I have opted for Corsair Vengeance RAM 32GB (3600 speed) and a WD Black SN750 512GB NVMe. Still looking for a full towercase that I like. I also nabbed the Corsair RM750 Gold PSU on a deal the other day. It does not look like it is the greatest but hopefully it will be good enough.

That's a nice build you have there.

Im buying a Sapphire 5700 xt se at the moment too. Good choice lol

Apparently new cards coming from amd in start of march and new cases from bequiet, etc so might be worth waiting a few weeks to see if there is anything new or price drops.

Although, I never have patience to wait. Lol
Ta, I am hoping it will be ok. I ordered my case and that comes today as well.

amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

I must admit it is a gamble as I have never heard of the brand but I did not want to spend £200 on a higher end full tower case either. This one comes with 4x fans and has space for 4x more. By tomorrow I will have everything I need to start the build, all has been ordered. Lets see how it goes, hopefully it will be a good setup.
