    Havent done any messing around with parts for years - simple to just straight switch from 5600x to this right?

    I'm looking at the exact same and I'm sure am4 motherboards are literally just remove cpu cooler, remove old cpu, replace with new one apply thermal paste, re add cooler... done...depending on board MAYBE a bios updated worth checking but ye seems like the easiest part to replace
