The fan favorite, fastest true 12-core processor (unlike the 12900K with only 8 big cores). Great for those who mainly game but do some content creation on the side.
Very close to the 7950X for single core boost frequency means it offers nearly the same gaming performance for a fraction of its price.

The 7900X also supports 20x PCIe Gen5 lanes through the CPU for both the Graphics Card and fast NVMe SSDs, ready to satisfy any enthusiast or high-end gamer.
Built-in Radeon Graphics using Navi 2 is also available for multimedia/office use or when users are upgrading but waiting for their GPU, they can start using their rig (less CUs than our G parts, not focused at iGPU gaming)

Wow bought my 5900X close to this not long ago, good price
Ha same. I was just looking at the performance difference between the two. Not that I would upgrade anytime soon but a decent upgrade. Shame about the ££ of the AM5 boards. (edited)

Seems like a really good price. Think they might be slow off the shelves, especially down to the need for a ddr5 ram and new mono for those looking to upgrade.

new mobo costs £200 min...I want it bad but too expensive
£200 where's that? Must be potato spec for that money considering the cost of X670/X670E motherboards

This or the 7700x, upgrading from 5800x?
7700x probably if all you really do is play games. 7900x will split the workload between the 2 CCD's which can hurt performance, and considering lots of games don't even use 8 cores properly I don't think you will see too much of a performance difference

Of course check benchmarks yourself to see if it's true
