Garbage. Sorry. A bottle of Meh. Much better bourbon options out there for this price. Eagle Rare 10 year old bottled at 45% is infinitely better than this AT THE SAME PRICE. Don’t get fooled...

Cheers, I'll keep an eye out.
Posted this on the 4yr old deal also on the site.

It's made by the George Dickel brand distillery, don't know if that helps anyone in terms of whether it's decent stuff or not as you would probably need to be right into your bourbon to have tried one of the George Dickel range. A friend has tried the American Eagle 12 and said it was lovely, very smooth, he is a scotch drinker rather than whiskey/bourbon though, I think that was actually his first ever bourbon he has tried apart from Jack and coke.

Eagle Rare 10 is a superb whiskey for the price. Be good to hear what other options are recommended around this price point by @MendipBob
ive just bought one of these, not on this offer, and obviously its all down to preference...however i think this is a really great bourbon! very smooth, no harsh afterburn, great in an old fashioned! again...its all personal, but im a fan!41728506-iVdkX.jpg

I totally agree, i purchased the 4 year and the 12 year and didn't think either were much good on this occasion stick to what you know.

My go to (fair money for great american whiskey) sub £40 bottles are:

Woodford Reserve Rye (Lovely & Rich)
Eagle Rare 10
Sazerac Rye
Four Roses Small Batch
Four Roses Single Barrel
Evan Williams Single Barrel

Not tried this but I do love my bourbon. Got some nice ones on that list, particularly the four roses. Wild Turkey 101 is probably my favourite sub £30 bourbon which is really worth a try. If you fancy stepping up to the WT Rare Breed it’s really quite amazing too.

Think I’ll try and order this just to try it. Seems like a good deal. Whether it’s any good I guess is down to the taste of the individual drinker

+1 for Wild Turkey Rare breed. I've tried 2 different batches and they've both been amazing. Can occasionally be had for around £40 on Amazon. Cask strength so not for beginners.

I have a bottle of this junk, fortunately only paid 28 pounds for it.

Definitely not worth 30 pounds, Eagle Rare is far superior and drops to around 30 pounds.
