Amazing how many £575 p.a. Platinum Amex cardholders there are on HUKD!
Not on mine. Heat tho
Yesterday I got £270 cash worth of points from them. Today I got £100 of free spend x 6 (each card on my account) from them. So far this year, I've been paid £300 to get travel insurance, points earning, discounts and upgrades and £30/month at Addison Lee.

Works for me.
This offer will only be on high fee Platinum charge card (£575 annual fee). Unlikely anyone with fee free or other small fee card holder would be targeted for such offer.

This is free money. Might be only platinum? I assume it's for a maximum of £100 in total, not per shop, from reading the T&C?

Got 30k points retention from calling them today (platinum), but you'll need to actually go through the cancellation process to get it if you want to try. (That translates directly into £270 cash towards a statement credit at current redemption rates)

Can yo give a step by step . Ive never done anything like it before so would like some help. What to say, who to say it to and what exactly to do. I know nothing at all.
For the 30k points? Do you have an American Express Platinum charge card?
Me wonder if you were to buy via the EPP and use Apple Pay would trigger the statement credit as well.
Not on my platinum cashback card

Isn't that the card with the £570 annual fee?
Thanks very much for posting this - essentially scored an ipad mini 5th gen for £299!!

Not on my platinum cashback card

Will only be on the charge card, not platinum cashback credit card.
Looks like the payment gateway is the same when checking out via EPP link. That would bring the Airpod Pros down to £125 with the statement credit. apple.com/uk_epp_136535/shop

Now depends if Apple post back the URL used to Amex.... hmmm.

Really nice deal. Hoping it comes to the Platinum card for June

What is an "airpid pro". I've never heard of it, but I want one.
Any decent sign up offers for the platinum card?
£100 per card. But if you have a supplementary card, then it is £200 between them.
Not on the BA free card unfortunately
Awesome deal

Deal really needs changing to reflect this. Got my hopes up and it's not on my Platinum Cashback card (£25 a year)
Edited by: "SirSpanky" 28th May
Not on any of my cards, could essentially get £100 of apple stuff for free if I understand the deal correctly
On both my missus platinum and my supplementary. Am I missing something is this £100 back after £100 spend at these retailers? Is this also cumulative spend or if I go in and buy a bottle of water will this mean I have “used” it up?
Heat added, great find! Especially as Amex don’t exactly prompt us to take advantage of these - I might be incorrect, but it looks like platinum only

Well perhaps you could read the terms and conditions that would be on the option to add it. Seeing as most people don’t have this available. But is it a deal really when you pay £570 to use a credit card when most people pay nothing. I’d say I’m saving £470 a year based on this.

I’m saving £470 because of this deal thanks op.

In case anyone is wondering how, I’m NOT PAYING £570 a year for my Amex card.
This offer is called a “platinum statement credit up to £100”. So it will only be for people who are paying £575 a year for a platinum card! This card includes a lot of hotel and flight benefits which can’t be taken advantage of during a pandemic, and this is one of the benefits Amex are giving to try to keep platinum customers at the moment.

There are quite often good offers on free Amexes too, eg the 10% off Apple store one recently. But this one is more of a refund offer.

The description should be changed to include “platinum card”
Considering the amount of people that canceled the Platinum charge card due to this pandemic and the fact that it offers no Perks seems all a bit too late from AMEX ...

Unlimited time but maximum cashback £100
I think you can also mix n match retailers
i.e. spend £50 each on both M&S and Waitrose and get £100 back from AMEX
Will this work on supplementary cards with the offer saved?

Tempted if this works... are you going to do this?
Would be all over this offer if it actually appeared on my card. Why do the Amex offers I’d use never appear in my offers 😞
