Nothing up yet, if it does appear I'll add it. Have you checked via your online account in case you can load it to your card that way?

Not as good as some recent offers, but still a little discount if you are planning to spend at any of the above offers.
I'm still waiting for the 'small shops' event and hoping for £5 off a £10 or more spend.

Yup, not as good as some recent ones, but if you're going to spend at these merchants anyway, you may as well save a little. Let's hope Shop Small is still coming later in the year.

Many of these offers also available to load via Foursquare if that's your preference, e.g.

Topcashback has £26.25 cashback (ends tomorrow) for AMEX Platinum Cashback Card. There is a £25 annual fee, but the Topcashback covers that and you get 5% on your spends for 3 months. So even if you only spend £500 over 3 months, that will cover your £25 and the £26.25 is a bonus. If you get 2 cards (one for partner/wife etc), then double up on AMEX deals as they come along.
You could cancel after 1 year and maybe drop down to the AMEX Everyday card.
Advance tickets to premier events, so could be a profit there I suppose?

Yeah, it's a great card to start on to take advantage of the cashback and all of the Amex offers like these that come up. After a year it's very easy to cancel and move to the fee-free version of the card if you know that the amount you're likely to spend in the year doesn't justify the fee.

No Skype or Eurostar direct sign up yet, will keep an eye out.

Mbna Amex cards??

my 2 x £25 spend hasn't tracked, bought at least a week ago and registered for the deal. (spent £30 at currys and £30 at pc world) can anyone suggest the best way to query this with amex?

Good luck trying to get advance tickets with anything other than the horrendously expensive charge cards (_;)

I love American Express when I'm out shopping, I save so much money as no one will accept it

Yup, or see post #3 above where I link directly to them.

The Argos is always a good one and they can be used for gift cards and redeemed later or for gifts - SWEET

I spoke to AMEX at the time the offer came out to clarify a couple of things and they said it could take up to 30 days to clear

hi Morgie,

question for you.

I spent £25 @ Currys and £25 @ Debenhams and have recieved the £25 statement credit. However my currys order has been cancelled as the item is not in stock and end of line clearance. They are just refunding me the money so will go on my Amex card shortly. Do you know if the Amex systems are sophisticated enough to take back the £25 statement credit? thanks

Original Poster

Not sure to be honest. Might be worth contacting them to discuss rather than chancing it?

I'll leave it for a bit to see if anything happens, on this occassion I prefer to take my chanchis X)

worst case and they take the credit back will phone customer service and explain is based on currys incompetent stock management

I thought you may want to know this, but Amex systems are sophisticated enough to take the £25 statement credit back if the transaction is refunded. I phoned up and explained the situation and gave me a £25 gesture of good will. thanks

Thanks for following up with the result. Glad they sorted it for you. Guess it was worth taking your chanchis in the end!

I used the Skype offer last week - took a week to appear with the £5 credit on my account after spending. No sign of a direct link for that offer if it hasn't shown up in your offers on your online account.

Original Poster

Just to confirm, spend at Argos can include giftcards. I spent just over £40 on Saturday, including a giftcard and the £5 credit from Argos is showing on my Amex account today.

Glad it's of use, and not sure with regards to your question, but....

Do you log onto your Amex account on the main Amex website? Try that and see if the offers appear to load to your card, or load them 'manually' via the links in the third reply (here) to the OP above. If you get them loaded to your card you should be entitled to them.

I never log on anywhere. I've been and loaded them manually and got an email, so hopefully that will be ok. Ordering today, through Quidco too (hopefully this won't have a negative impact). I'll return items to Debenhams/Currys if it doesn't work. Thanks again for the info and the heads up.

Possible deal for Argos - Morphy Richard's 7 in 1 steam mop down to £49.99, add a 50p SIM card to push it over £50 and as well as your £5 off with Amex you'll get an Argos £5 voucher.

Just got this email: Congratulations. You have earned a £25 statement credit (woo hoo!). My purchases from Debenhams and Currys haven't even been delivered yet! Thanks so much for this post
