Done for you

Does this only work on the specific Tesco store that you pick on foursquare, or will it work in any Tesco if I change my mind?

I take it It will only work with Windows8 for registering as I only have windows7?

Ace - thanks!

(Sorry if this isn't serious).....your Operating Systems shouldn't matter, all new browsers should be fine. Are you talking about signing up at FourSquare.com ?

Not sure - but surely only check in just before you're making your purchase?

Yeah I clicked on your link … Yeah I clicked on your link http://www.cardmemberoffers.co.uk/shopping/tesco-foursquare/#fourSquareRedeem then it asks you to download which the link from above took me here https://foursquare.com/download or do I just register on the foursquare page where it states sign up on the orange tab?

Easiest way:

1. Sign up for a Foursquare account at foursquare.com/

2. Sync your Amex and Foursquare accounts - sync.americanexpress.co.uk/

3. Install the Foursquare app on your smartphone.

4. 'Check In' on the App where ever you're going and click the 'Load to Card' option on the American Express Special listed.

5. Spend the required amount on your card.

You should get an email pretty quickly to confirm your spend and then see your credit statement appear, usually I've found within a few days, but they tend to say it can take weeks.

I helped a friend sign up at Foursquare tonight - also got that message, but they received an email and their account was fine. Did you get an email through?

With all of their other offers it just loads to card and is NOT specific to the store you clicked on to sync your card. That is how it has always worked in the past...don't expect it to have changed.

In the past with Foursquare I've always clicked on 'Load to Card' just before I made the purchase while in the store, but reading here I'm assuming that most people are loading it to the card in advance and going to the store at a later date?

Sounds like it yes. I've done the same as you before, but will probably give this a go too.

It gets loaded to your card rather than a specific store location. If you want to be sure find another location and load it on again. It'll say already loaded but show the new store location.

I think people are saying you'll be ok with this method, e.g. that you can:

1. Check in and load to your card at any point, not necessarily when you're in store.

2. Check in and load the special at one branch, but qualify for the statement credit when spending at another.

Yep no problem. Even had an email a few days ago from Barclaycard telling me about the deals.

I've done this before with Tesco some time back when Amex & Foursquare were running the last promo. Not sure if I qualify for it second time around but worth a chance

Will also work on a second account holders card so long as they have a separate foursquare account.

Can you only use this as 1 deal per Amex account or can 2 of us use our separate Amex and Foursquare accounts with our joint account?

Believe you can use joint cards individually as long as they are sync'd to individual Foursquare accounts.

Use separate Foursquare accounts.

I have 3 Amex cards and use 3 different foursquare emails. It's been a while since they last did some Foursquare + Amex deals, it's good to see them coming back round.

This is a merchant centric offers so it will work for any UK issues Amex Card (MBNA, Lloyds, Barclays etc). It will also work for additional or supplementary cards registered to separate Foursquare accounts.

Cool... Foursquare is still rubbish so they've started the gift money. away with Amex scheme

Not as good as the old offers like £10 free petrol / £25 spend £25 cashback at argos and selfridges all the same

If you have more than one Amex.. You can set up / accounts... One for each card lol

Has anyone used it with a Virgin Amex, I can't seem to get it to register the card?

I have had a confirmation from Amex that my card has been synced but when I check the app it says I have no cards linked.

Can someone who has had the email check the app and tell me if their Amex is showing on the app.

I can see specials, checking and unlock but I cannot "load".
