hi morgie,

am curious - how did you find these offers and does anyone know if we can register additional cards via these links as that appears to be a a restriction of the new system where you access the offers via the account page (as additional cardholders do not get access to the account pages).

many thanks!

Does this work with the Virgin Flying Club Amex from MBNA?

There's also a new ASOS deal like this running - hotukdeals.com/dea…745

It worked on my MBNA AMEX card but use the link provided by morgie

What happens if you load the offer to your card but then don't use it?

Nothing bad, potentially you deny another user the chance to load it to their card, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it..... I don't think any other Amex offers have reached their limit of cards allowed to enrol :-)

hi morgie, am curious - how did you find these offers...

I spotted the 'Method 1' offers by logging into my online account, I then checked cardmemberoffers.co.uk to see that they were also available to load to your card via the 'Method 2'.

Another decent Amex offer for potentially a free taxi ride up to £15 worth here - hotukdeals.com/dea…950

Also available under 'specials' if you checkin with a linked Amex card on Foursquare. Not sure if you can combine these two offers? (Does anyone know?)

Nice spot - if anyone can try this that would be excellent. I might be able to in the next couple of days.

EDIT - It's not possible, it's the same offer.
Edited by: "morgie" 19th Feb 2014

Thanks for posting.

This definitely cant be 'combined' with the foursquare offer. They are one and the same. Once you have loaded one, any attempt to load the other will deliver the message 'offer already loaded'.

Still good though!

Thanks SuperDan. Absolutely right, I've updated the post to reflect this. Before seeing this I tried the check-in method and received the message as you mention that it's already loaded to my card.

I also received an email from Amex showing this as an alternate way to use the offer....

Connected my card the other day, placed an order online today with HofF, paid with Amex, fingers crossed it goes through ok

You should get a confirmation email from Amex pretty quickly after ordering.

I haven't got one, my transaction was at 13:32 for £52, hmmm. I know the card did register when I did it though as I did it again thinking it hadn't gone through and it said my card was already registered, guess I'll have to wait and see what happens, thanks for your help though.

No problem. What time did you register your card and which method did you use?

It will have been Wednesday morning, using method 2, I'll be optimistic X)

Hmm, should be ok. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious - maybe check your spam?

Original Poster

FYI - I registered using Method 1 on Tuesday, made a purchase at HoF online Wednesday lunchtime and when I check my online statement I see the £10 credited to the account a day later, on Thursday. The confirmation email came about a minute after my transaction. I've always found these offers to work pretty instantly and for the credit to be very quick even though they talk about it potentially being weeks. I also know that Amex customer support is excellent so I'm sure they'd get any issues sorted for you.

Found the problem
"American Express Cardmembers who register their Card at cardmemberoffers.co.uk/HOF are eligible to receive a £10 statement credit when they spend £50 or more on their registered American Express Card at House of Fraser"
I paid £30 of it with an evoucher I had, I thought it was the total to HoF not £50 on Amex, ah well. Thanks for all your help morgie

Original Poster

Ahhh, that would explain it. Well, you can still use it on another transaction.

Not too shabby

Nice. Worked for me too. Basket total was £61, £10 off with Bespoke Offers took it to £51, I've just had my Amex email confirmation, so that takes it down to £41 and Quidco was was 7%, so potentially £4.73 bringing it down to £36.73, plus a small bit of cashback on my Amex card......oh and some HoF 'Recognition Points'

Is anyone having trouble applying the code? I got mine at Bespoke offers (it doesn't have any hyphens in it, just one long code), but the HoF website is rejecting.....

Oops ignore me, just found out how to do it - need to check the voucher they email to you for the online use code. Apols!

No worries, but yes, it's all in that thread (from this post) - that's why I posted the screen grabs etc. Hope it's of use to someone.
