Amex register your credit card with the retailer, and whenever that card is used, a percentage is paid to Amex!As more people sign up to these "deals", the retailers will have to increase prices to cover the cashback that they pay out.

What? Never heard of this before! Do I still get my cashback like normal though?

They showed me the door:

Unfortunately This Campaign Is By Invitation Only. Please Visit Http://Www.AmexNetwork.Co.Uk For Other Fabulous Offers.

my BA Amex works on both curry's and Costco but my lloyds only works on currys, thanks op

There's another offer on my Platinum Cashback card as well:

Is this something Amex do themselves or do you have to sign up for it?

I thought Costco do not accept credit card?

Amex is a charge card (not a credit card)

Incorrect. AMEX do credit cards and charge cards.

Duh, you're right.

My (Amex) Amex card has been accepted for the Costco £10 offer, but my (Barclaycard) Amex card hasn't - even though I haven't had an invite for either...

PC World offer added to my BA Amex. Others not relevant to me.

Costco in store only accept their own branded Amex cards. Online they accept all credit/Amex cards. This is an online only offer.

Great, I just went to Gaucho last week so missed the deal. This means I'll have to go back again.

INCORRECT. Costco in store also accept other Amex cards. I have been using my platinum Amex (not issued by them) from last one year.

If I buy something today from Currys, any idea as to how long it would take to get the credit back?

Can't comment on currys but generally amex are very quick at giving cashback. Got wh smith/cineworld/esso/debenhams/argos all paid within a couple of days. If it doesn't show up, a quick phone call usually would sort it out. Their customer service is top!

While registering for the Curry's/PCWorld offer went through fine - for Costco, it's coming up with the following message:

"Unfortunately This Campaign Is By Invitation Only. Please Visit Http://Www.AmexNetwork.Co.Uk For Other Fabulous Offers."

I purchased online PCWorld on Fri....it is currently sitting in pending transactions....dont suppose anyone has an idea of wether I am too late or the £10 if it will get credited once it moved to confirmed transactions?

Thanks!

I've found something for £49.99 at PCWorld that I want. Has anyone got any ideas for a cheap filler item?? The cheapest I can find is a £3 battery. I was hoping for something around £1?

There's a lot of misinformation in this thread.

Amex do credit and charge cards.

Costco don't just accept Costco 'branded' Amex - I've been using my Amex Rewards card there for over a year and it wasn't supplied via them.

The Costco.co.uk offer wasn't in my account, but I've just registered for it. We'll see if it passess...

Search for sim cards - can find for 99p or less

Voted hot!

Thanks Morgie for also posting the direct website links. As MBNA card holders don't have access to the online Amex website.

All of them seem to register ok except for Costco.

They are one use only. So i cannot abuse Leon for cheap (er) lunches for example.

Looking forward to Shop Small at the weekend.

Indeed - hotukdeals.com/dea…404

I used mine Avio to buy a washing machine from Currys and as soon as the website learned that I wanted to pay with Amex, they kept saying that the dates I chose was no longer available...

Thanks for sharing, OP. How do you find these public offers? I don't usually find them in the 'offers tailored for you' and don't seem to find these ones you posted through cardmemberoffers.co.uk/
Thanx
