Definitely not for everyone but a few films recently reduced to £6.99 each @ iTunes which is a good price for 4K versions.

American Made

Doug Liman directs this US crime thriller based on true events. Tom Cruise stars as Barry Seal, a pilot for Trans World Airlines who became a drug smuggler for the Colombian Medellin cartel in the 1980s. After being recruited by the notorious drug lords to move shipments of cocaine from Columbia to an airbase in Mena, Arkansas, Seal also becomes involved with the CIA and DEA who are looking for him to provide information on the Columbian’s activities while also secretly transporting weapons into South America for them. However, with the cartel continuing to increase their shipments to the US, it’s not long before events begin to spiral out of control. The cast also includes Domhnall Gleeson, Sarah Wright and Jayma Mays.

Man of Steel

Zack Snyder directs this action adventure feature, produced by Christopher Nolan and based on the DC Comics hero. After being sent to Earth by his parents to prevent him from dying in the destruction of his home planet Krypton, an infant boy is taken in by Kansas farmer Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) and his wife Martha (Diane Lane), who name the child Clark. Growing up, Clark (Cooper Timberline/Dylan Sprayberry) begins to discover the true potential of the superpowers he possesses but with this comes a sense of responsibility. In his 20s, while exploring the nature of his origins, Clark (Henry Cavill) meets and later becomes romantically involved with Lois Lane (Amy Adams), an inquisitive reporter from ‘The Daily Planet’ newspaper. When an evil force threatens the Earth and its inhabitants, Clark resumes his true identity as a superhero and fights to save the planet. Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe and Laurence Fishburne co-star.

Suicide Squad

Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne star in this action film following DC Comics supervillains who are transformed into a team of anti-heroes. Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) heads up a secret government agency for which she forms Task Force X aka the Suicide Squad - a group of unlikely heroes made up of imprisoned criminals. Once released from Belle Reve penitentiary, the squad, which includes Deadshot (Smith), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Slipknot (Adam Beach), The Joker (Leto) and Harley Quinn (Robbie), must carry out life-threatening covert operations, under the command of leader Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), to protect the planet from unseen evils.

Batman v Superman

Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill star as the eponymous superheroes in this sequel which follows on from the events in ‘Man of Steel’ (2013). Concerned that Superman (Cavill)’s powers may get out of hand if he isn’t kept under control, vigilante Batman (Affleck) leaves Gotham City for Metropolis where the two heroes find themselves in a head-to-head battle. Meanwhile, a terrifying evil threatens the safety of the human race. Will Batman and Superman be able to defeat their common enemy and save the day? The film also stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

None of those films are 4k just upscaled 2k. Which is a shame.
Would personally prefer physical copies, but if it's digital copy you're after, American Made and Man of Steel are both £4.99 for Amazon Prime members. Albeit HD instead of 4K.
Or you could just set fire to some money and watch it burn. It'd be more entertaining than these...

Still, decent prices for 4K, even if the films are awful

Having watched all these films on my Apple TV 4K, and previously owned the physical 4K discs, I can safely say there is very little difference in picture quality, audio will be better, but I have a sonos system so it sounds fine to me in Dolby. They’re all a cut above standard blurays and a quarter of the price of physical media, the argument of 2k upscaled versus native 4K is null and void. Pacific rim is prime example.
American Made was one of the best films Iv`e watched in a long time.

Have to agree 're Pacific Rim. It's an upscaled transfer but it looks amazing.

Watch the full 4k and there is a difference.
American made is worth a watch, surprisingly enjoyable for a recent Cruise film.
Misleading picture, thought it was for physical copies

I’ve owned and watched suicide squad, batman vs Superman and man of steel on 4K disc, and now own them on iTunes. I sold the discs as the difference is so minute it doesn’t warrant the price difference. I sold them and all the rest of my 4K blurays and replaced on iTunes. Each to their own, but for me it’s a no brainer.

Indeed, it’s reference quality, as are many more 2k upscales 🏻

As I’ve stated, they are..but not by enough to warrant the price tag, and you’d need them side by side to see it. With regards true 4K vs 2k upscales, It depends on the transfer, you can get really shit native 4K films, and amazing 2k upscales.

OMG haha I meant a full 4k film and not these upscaled 2k ones.
But carry on shaking your head might knock some sense into it.
