2974655.jpgAldi have started selling these bottles of Root Beer that are pretty decent and really cheap. It's 37p for a litre and less sugar than bundaberg.

To go along with this fab flavour, they also have American Creme Soda & American Grape in 1 ltrs for 37p

I'll defo be picking some of this up when i'm next in.
Bundaberg Ginger Beer is excellent but I thought their root beer was weird with a too strong vanilla aftertaste and a strong licorice smell (but not taste, oddly).
Cheers op...

I know what you mean, I felt that at first but it grew on me! This isn't quite as strong at all.
I buy the asda rootbeer remember getting root beer as a kid at Mc ds.
I'm not a fan of this, the taste isn't strong enough. The cans of Carters Root Beer from Asda / Sainsburys is much better

McDonald's was the best. Still yet to taste 1 like it.
Also a McDonlads childhood memory for me. Get my root beer fix by buying the A&W brand.
I wonder if this would be as good as coke for cleaning the toilet bowl? Should be - citric acid.
Can’t beat the Barq's Root Beer in The US Chipotle outlets. Yum.

For 37p, I’ll set my expectations low and give it a whirl.

I didn't care for the Carters versions, there was another I got in Asda/Sainsburys but cant remember the brand name which was pretty close to A&W style
Is the cheapest root beer I’ve brought and also the worst tasting. Very sweet. More like Dr Pepper in taste.
Are the taste of the smell of germolene, heated
only for a limited time guys as its US week.

I love Carters Root Beer so when I saw this I bought a few bottles. Honestly it's not great all, I wouldn't buy it again. The grape soda isn't too bad though
Shame no ginger beer
I'll have to give this a try. I like root beer but I don't generally drink sugary drinks
Sainsbury's sell a nice tasting bottle but it's 1.50 for 330ml...if people are saying that nasty carters from asda is better than this then it must be pretty awful lol

I know Asda sell Carters rootbeer, do they also sell their own. If so which branches sell it?
I've tried these tastes nothing like aw root beer, pretty awful not buying them again
I love the 2ltr orangeade for 42p, I did see this rootbeer in my local but I don’t have a clue what rootbeer tastes like. I think I had it as a kid because when you get a chance to have anything saying “beer”, as a kid you get excited and think your a man!

I am disappointed but thanks for letting me know.
The US A&W root beer has used fructose corn syrup for a while now. Very different taste.
Only the Asian or Canadian A&W root beer for me. Or Dad's.

no one ever seems to remember McDonald's doing root beer when I mention this. Glad to see it's not only me remember this.

Yeah, they need to bring that back. The child in me demands it!
Bought some of these last night. Very bad, but a bit better if chilled very cold.

A&W all the way.
Don't forget the cream soda too in aldi. Picked up 2 cs and 2 rb by the till today. Yum.
Bought and drank 2 bottles tonight. Going back tomorrow to buy a lot more. It's as good as any diet root beer i've had during my visits to America and I can't find anyone else selling it in the uk.

Deep heat, you mean?

If it's meant to taste like liquid changing-rooms then it's great.

I think that would be Tropical Sun’s Root Beer. Taste is very similar to A&W!!
