Interestingly it's available on my BA Amex card but not on my Platinum card.

just called amex - they say these offers are for their own cards only, but that apparently includes ba amex, etc but not others (like my barclaycard amex). but last month, their system allowed me to register my amex and barclaycard amex for their westfield offer (£20 for £100 spend). i reckon their systems are fallible, and if we go through the right offer website (since amex has so many different ones that even their own staff are confused), it lets even 'non amex' amex cards to be registered for these offers. unfortunately, i havent succeeded in registering my barclaycard amex for offers mentioned above as yet - if anyone succeeds, please post a direct link.....

Can also be done by going thru four square. Just loaded it to all of my cards.

Log into your Amex account and click on 'Offers - tailored to you' beside your recent transactions...

http://pointsmilesandmartinis.boardingarea.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/kScreen-Shot-2013-12-12-at-10.17.49-AM.png

Also, might be useful for those not seeing it on their account that are going to use Foursquare and haven't done so before with their Amex...

1. Sign up for a Foursquare account at foursquare.com/

2. Sync your Amex and Foursquare accounts - sync.americanexpress.co.uk/

3. Install the Foursquare app on your smartphone.

4. Search for WHSmith on the app, pick any store (doesn't have to be the one you'll spend in). Click on the American Express offer and select 'Add to card'...the text on the button should then change to 'Added'.

5. Spend the required amount (£30 or more) on your card.

Any decent branded giftcards in Whsmith Morgie?

Maybe useful to stock up on some stamps

Also in late August they were giving away 20% off discount cards in Whsmith for the whole of September (various exclusions). Theres always some till voucher around.

I think they do a fair range, but no clues on their website. From a few searches it appears they at least do iTunes giftcards, as previous offers there. Be good if anyone who knows the details or is stopping by tomorrow could post some of the options they see.

My local store sell all the usual high-street ones as well as the prepaid Visa/Mastercard/AMEX cards.

Tempting but I'm not sure if it will work with the Barclaycard Amex.

can lottery tickets be part of the £30 spend

Is there a way for a Barclaycard Amex holder to sign up for the Skype offer?

Doesn't look like it, no public sign up page currently.

Yeh, did it through Four Square - still not showing up under "My Offers" on my Platinum card though.

Anyone seen the price of Lego at Smiths? Who buys from them???

Most places I've been won't accept payment on credit card for lotto, supermarkets tend to be ok with it though.

Is this just in foursquare or there is an enroll link?

Hmmm. Buy a prepaid AMEX, get £10. Use that to buy another AMEX...
I'm guessing the offer isn't available on prepaid cards.

Apparently smiths sell lots of different gift cards. Do you have to pay a fee for the prepaid cards?

The Amex pre-paid usually have a fee on top of them, so you'd be eating into your £10 saving, I think it's somewhere between £2 and £3.

You pay £3.95 + value for amex prepay cards. They sell Google play/ iTunes/ Fatface WHSMiths/ Book Tokens, £20 Boots, any value argos, mothercare, minecraft, xbox, playstation, facebook, various in game currencies, b&q, homebase, next and debenhams and some other clothing stores (tkmax maybe?)

The £30 AMEX has a £2.95 fee. £25 Mastercard fee is £2.45. They also have M&S gift cards that you load any value on to.

Just search for any WHSmith in Foursquare - the offer should show up. What device are you using Foursquare on?

Stopped in my local branch today, quite a selection of giftcards. I think the phrase may be "something for everyone"....from I photo I took, the ones I can make out....

* WHSmith cards (of course!) - put your own value on
* iTunes - £15, £25, £50, £100 - with an offer to get £25 of iTunes giftcards for £20 - separate deal posted specifically on this here.
* Apple App Store - £15, £25, £50, £100
* Ticket Master - put your own value on
* Google Play - £10, £25, £50
* Game - £10, £20
* Next - put your own value on
* Debenhams - put your own value on
* Starbucks - £10
* B&Q - put your own value on
* Arcadia (Topshop, Topman, Wallis, Burton, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins) - Consider using this Amex deal instead.
* H&M - put your own value on
* M&S - put your own value on
* Cafe Rouge - put your own value on
* House of Fraser - put your own value on - Worth being aware of this Amex deal.
* Fat Face - put your own value on
* TK Max - £20
* Accessorize - put your own value on
* Monsoon - put your own value on
* Boots - £10, £20
* GAP - put your own value on - Consider using this Amex deal instead.
* Prezzo - put your own value on
* Pizza Express - separate deal posted specifically on these here.
* Claire's Accessories - put your own value on
* Amex Prepaid card - £20, £30, £100 - plus a £2.95 fee as Nemo123 has mentioned
* Mastercard prepaid card - £25, £50 - plus a £2.45 fee as Nemo123 has mentioned
* xbox - £15, £15, £50
* xbox live 3 months Gold Membership - £14.99

They were also giving out "£5 off when you spend £15 or more on Books" vouchers (valid until 28/09/14).
