Might interest some, as it's a URL link not sure they're validating you even pay on an Amex card. Sadly not able to code stack.

Cardmembers can receive a complimentary handmade silk tie, worth £50, when purchasing a single shirt for £19.95. Choose from over 40 new season ties, all crafted to the same exacting standards as their shirts. Offer is limited to one order per household, for purchases made from 1 September – 31 October 2015.

who uses an amex card anymore? stores either outright refuse to take them due to the processing costs compared to other cards, or charge you for the privilege.

And good if you have the £10 off £60 on your Amex card!

I have never been charged extra for using an Amex over another credit card. I have very little issue with acceptance and the majority of high street retailers accept Amex......and their customer service blows every other credit card I have had out of the water!

Couple of reports regarding acceptance issues.

Only one of which is recent and that is US based.

I am talking from my own experience - I put over £2k a month on my Amex cards and probably about £100 on my MasterCard. Yes there are retailers that don't accept it, and I don't deny that, but in my personal experience they are in the minority - of course this depends on where you shop!

The regular run Amex deals are great as well.

Fair point, i use my Amex for the vast majority of purchases and it nets me about £280ish a year in cashback, that said, B&M Bargains, Aldi & my local pub won't accept it so there are a few limitations....

So you can't do this offer with a standard visa debit? ****

I'm suggesting you could try, as it's via a link rather than tied to the card number. If the amount at checkout doesn't look right obviously don't proceed

I guess you don't have one then, I use one for the vast majority of my shopping and a MasterCard for where Amex is not accepted, my outgoings normally split around £1500 to Amex and £150 to MasterCard per month. And get 1.25% cashback on the Amex

You don't have to pay by amex, I just bought it and paid by paypal and it worked.

i think you might be on the wrong site then if you push that much through your card.

Those are old news articles... Many of the places mentioned, do, now take Amex

I find very places nowadays don't take Amex

The Amex Platinum card which charges a fee of £25 is better than the non-charging version if you spend more than £3333 per annum. maths available on request

There's a friend referral scheme whereby both parties get £25 once accepted. PM me if you'd like to be referred

Only B&Q and Co-Op don't take it from the places that I shop at. For the online stores that don't accept PayPal I just use AmEx as my payment method.
Not sure where your comments about come from but literally everywhere takes it that I shop with.

This is an awesome deal thanks very much OP. The added bonus of this not getting the heat it deserves is that there's a load of shirt styles and ties that were sold out last time!

Plus for B&Q you can buy giftcards from places like Tesco. Buy 2 x £25 cards in Tesco and get bonus Clubcard points too (and you used to get 2p toward fuel save as well).

Great idea hadn't thought of doing that before. It would be nice to inconvenience B&Q rather than being the inconvenienced one! It must cost them a fair bit if you keep buying with gift cards from them! (Admin, tesco getting their cut, amex getting their cut etc)
Made my day (again) thanks!

ordered!

thanks!

Seems like an excellent deal to me, have some HEAT!!
Ordered 4 non-iron shirts and free tie for £84.75. Thanks OP.
& Paid on Visa without any issue.
Shame you can't add the free delivery code... oh well.

Cheers, 3 more lovely non-iron shirts plus tie on the way...
