Amex Lots of Cashback offers (GAP, HalFords, Byrons, Bonus Avios offers)

Just seeing a few new cashbacks popping up on my BA Amex and Plat Card - could well be account specific, so worth checking there.

  • Spend 30£ or more at GAP and get £10 cashback - this coupled with the current offers running on GAP gap.co.uk/?ti…GIN make it a good deal. Ofcourse don't forget the 7% Quidco Cashback on it. You can also download the GAP App and get a VIP code - sometimes they have good discount codes in there.
  • Halfords 5% cashback for in-store transactions. Valid till 22nd Nov and valid every-time and doesn't seem to have a minimum spend restriction either.
  • Debenhans 2% cashback - both online and in-store transactions.
  • Byrons Burgers 3% cashback - both online and eat-in
  • Also on the BA amex card there are a few Bonus avios offers - 500 avios on a spend of 10 or more at Tesco, 3000 bonus avios on a spend of 200 or more at Mulberry. The tesco one was earlier posted as hotukdeals.com/dea…295

Hope some of those offers show up on your card and you are able to benefit from them.

A pittance I know - but as the good people say every little helps

They usually are account specific, my wife and I both have AMEX and our offers vary a lot, 50% the same, 50% not...

At least they upped Byron from 1% to 3%, but still very shy from Lloyd's 10%

They must have some sort of randomizer almost - because you are right, they vary a lot.

Comparing Apples to Oranges - are we ! Zeek is in the business of selling/buyers unwanted gift-cards/evouchers whereas Amex does everything but this

I like to use my Amex but this site is about saving money and that is a better option. I know Zeek quite well and selling unwanted gift cards is a small chunck of their business via the private chanel their core business is the resale of discounted gift cards.

Don't add the offer and a low take up on the offer and they may change it to 10%. We all need the points!

Do people who own an Amex card feel they actually get any value from it considering the £140 annual fee ? I'd like to hear people's opinions please

FWIW I have had a few Amex cards over the years - but pay annual fees only on my Plat Cashback card and thats a much more palatable 25 quid a year - which is more than made up during the shop small promotion alone. The other paid cards I have had I keep them for a year (as usually the membership is free on the first year) and then close them down.

Did that with the Gold Card - that had a membership cashback/bonus of roughly 125£ on a spend of 2k - this was just before Xmas so did all of Xmas shopping/gifts/London tube travel etc. on that to get over the line.

Then followed the same with the Amex Nectar Card last year when Nectar+Amex combined were giving 40k nectar points - which translates to 200 without the double up - closed it earlier this month after using it for a year.

The BA Amex card is free so that one I hold on to - and use it when there are promo offers, avios bonus etc which I load to my BA account for some free-ish flights to Europe.

Hope this helps.
