Just appeared on my Amex account. Hopefully of use to others who don't check their card offers regularly.

Buying a £20 Amazon giftcard definitely works.

Just wondering if can stack with the first time Prime Now £5 code PRIMENOW5 and get a £25 item for effectively £15 - Jamster128

EDIT: For Info, my card type is Amex Platinum Cashback - Jamster128

Get someone you know to recommend you- you each get £25 credit. Also, there's a pre-eligibility calculator on MSE. I used it before getting my Amex. I had 70% chance/eligibility and got a card no prob
Thanks op. I haven't been checking Offers lately, so would have missed this
thanks. only one one of my 3 cards.
Cheers op.. Was only on Amex yesterday and nothing on.. Now showing on my Amex cashback card
Not on mbna one yet
Only on one card and not on my wife's supplementary card.
A manual add is needed.
Where is Morgie? Having a lie in?

Amex has been pretty poor with offers this year! Got to be the worst year since the offers started.
Still four more months until 'Shop small'.
Can it work with Lloyds American ex

No link yet by the looks of things.
For the love of an amazon gift card, please update the thread as soon as you get a direct link for our otherwise meaningless Lloyd's American express cards Thanks!
Seems they've stopped giving any offers on Basic Card too
How do you actually see if you have this offer?
Nope, not got it - still just a load of expensive tat on mine
Log into American Express Online
Click on each active card (if more than one) and repeat below:
- Click Offers (tab next to Transactions near the bottom)

see if you have offer - Add to card if you do
Wow finally an actual offer from Amex - was beginning to wonder if I had done something wrong as I never seemed to get anything ... Cheers op

There shouldn't be a problem as you are still paying with an Amex card.
Sadly, not available to all!

I loved the Shop Small last year. Was away for the 2nd week, but got a fair few done in the first week
If it's not a daft question, can I buy Amazon gift card to get my Amex credit? Just bought something expensive off amazon

Absolutely. I only buy giftcards and spend at my leisure. Spend as little as you want then.

Great, thanks

One of the advantages when purchasing giftcards, is that you have more time to spend them. !0 years? Saves diving in now.
If this offer can be manually added, then the £20 giftcards can be added together towards a larger purchase.
Giftcards are generally the best way to go.
I hardly ever get any offers on my cards. Maybe because I use it too often
Got this on my platinum cashback card
watch out on gift cards, for the last Argos deal the terms and conditions weren't clear and it excluded gift cards, this one doesn't say anything so should be ok but always worth checking the terms and conditions.
Thanks OP. I order off Amazon anyway, so this is great for me!
As I had already registered my AmEx card for offers (here: https://network.americanexpress.com/connect/uk/en/secure/default.html) this website asked me to register my card again. It failed. Guess you can only register on one, though don't know why AmEx seem to have two similar sites.
Thanks Op was on one of my cards. Will come in handy.

Me too, surrounded by offers for vastly overpriced shops and services - presumably they think Platinum card owners are all high earners with more money than sense, first offer I've had in ages that's worthwhile. Though I do like to partake in the shop local deal when it's on.

Thank you
Will it work if I buy a gift card and then just save it in my account?
Cheers op with this and that £85 amazon ee voucher i will be treating myself....
