# No rebate is payable in any month in which the minimum payment is not … # No rebate is payable in any month in which the minimum payment is not received by the due date. No rebate is payable on cash withdrawals, interest, fees, balance transfers, amounts subsequently re-credited to your account due to refunds, or expenditure in any one month exceeding the amount of your Credit Limit. No rebate is payable if you end the agreement before the relevant Card Anniversary date. Subject to the above a rebate of 5% will be payable to you by us on all transactions made in the first 3 months up to £4,000 and applied at the same time as any annual rebate. An annual rebate on the aggregate amount of all transactions (other than the exclusions stated above and any introductory offer) will be payable to you by us and calculated at the following rates, 0.5% for aggregate amounts up to £3,500; and 1% for aggregate amounts from £3,501 to £10,000; and 1.5% for aggregate amounts in excess of £10,001.

to be clear, it isn't '1.5% thereafter' - it's:

"0.5% for aggregate amounts up to £3,500; and 1% for aggregate amounts from £3,501 to £10,000; and 1.5% for aggregate amounts in excess of £10,001."

and I think you wait a year for the cashback if I read the t&c's correctly - not sure if this is normal?

Shame AMEX isnt as widely accepted as VISA/MCard. Having to wait a year is pretty lame as well.

yes it is

Is this for existing card holders too?

I've had a few cashback credit cards and it's pretty standard that you have it credited at the end of each year... what difference does it make? If you need that 1 or 1.5% urgently, you probably shouldn't be allowed a credit card. Or near scissors.

Amex isn't accepted universally. This is why it's useful to buy a wallet with more than one card slot.

Because a lot of people like me use the cards for major purchases and then cancel them once the cashback period has expired and the cashback has been paid. Quite simple really :whistling:

yeah, it's usaul for cashback card to pay the earned cashback after the anniversary. but i think MorganStanley lets you to cash as soon as you reached muiltple of fives.

have been using amex for two years. it's acceptance is better than you think.

a few who don't accept:
Post Office
Superdrug
Council tax
some restaurants.

i think that's pretty much it. i use my amex for 95% of my credit card spending.

I have a MorganStanley, in fact it is a multiple of £15 not £5. You have to speand at least £1,500 first to get your cashback.
'The minimum Cashback Bonus award you can redeem is £15, followed by increments of £15...'

I prefer those pay all cashback balance on a set date, will scrap MorganStanley soon! :whistling:

Time to bump this offer - and the Quidco has now gone up to £33.75. Get 5% cashback on your Christmas spending.
