they are pretty nice looking figures, price isn't too bad just wish they did a multi pack deal like skylanders and Disney infinity do

Huh. They definitely haven't taken money from my account for the steelbooks yet. Weird.

Will change OP.

Yep just going to buy the ones I want from the US and save my money.

I accidentally them all.

The Nintendo Store is TheHut Group, so likely don't take money until dispatch.

£132 ouch

But a collectors gotta do what a collectors gotta do

Only getting the Pokemon ones because I'm a scumbag.

I'd gladly pay £99.99 for the complete set of 12 which I assume is series 1. This is going to be an expensive year for me I can see it. Two copies of Smash Bros (3DS/Wii U), Bayonetta 2, Pokemon Alpha Saphire, Hyrule Warriors (I have to try it) and some misc games AND some of these figures. I better start saving oO

does the character have to be in the game in order to use the amiibo?
for example marth in smash bros
and yoshi in yoshis wooley world

if that is the case wouldn't mario be the best option as he can be used in most of the games compatible?

thanks

Dont forget that if you order via game and via the Nintendo store you can get TopCashback!

Worth doing if you are ording a full set!!!!!!

I want.

Yeah but some characters will be able to visit other games now but Nintendo hasn't explained it in full detail yet.

I wonder if anywhere else will do offers on them. At the very least I'd love to see Amazon put out frustration free packaging versions of them (I hate the packaging of these so much, they are super large to take up shelf space and prevent shoplifting, things that do not apply to online stores).

They will probably explain this in a Nintendo direct closer to their release. But it is a good point that the multi-game compatibility of them might be less valuable if some work in less games.

I think you can't change payment details either. I know someone who lost their Bravely Default special edition because of that (when they saw the Agnes figurine they didn't mind though).

If it wasn't for Nintendo I wouldn't give my business to the hut or zavvi. Rubbish retailers.

This is the RRP

Going to wait to see how these work before buying any... Not really worth it for just one game but if the cross-functionality works well and is useful then it'll be worth investing

I was wondering that myself and I have even tried asking about it but never get a reply from them. Tried asking GAME about it but they ignored me. I only want the Link one but if they only work for the games the character are in, then I guess I'm gonna need to buy Yoshi, Mario and Pikachu (for pokemon maybe)

This is just the RRP. Not a deal so cold.

Amazon have them at £12.99 which is the RRP. A small saving i know, but will add up if you buy a lot of figures.

amazon are charging £12.99

The RRP is £10.99 as confirmed by Nintendo. The £12.99 price was a placeholder/guess made by retailers.

Crafty since now they can claim its £12.99 RRP and market £10.99 as a money-off deal.

Is this a deal? Technically no but it is does give the product some attention and makes the price aware for any interested.

Right, I'll have the lot, thank you. Well apart from the Wii fit trainer. Seriously Nintendo, who wants that!?

It's all about Samus.

£264 surely, as you'll have to buy a set to keep sealed/boxed too :P

Well then it would be the first time in the history of retail that the Nintendo Store has undercut the RRP.

Personally I think Amazon are full of it and never correct it so they can show you a higher % saving.

Skylanders work when sealed so this may be the same...but it will still be used unless there is a factory reset possible.

If this means I can play as Pikachu in Mario Kart, then I'm buying that one. Otherwise, I'll wait for them to become a bit cheaper. They all look quite nice, other than the Wii Fit Trainer.

Anyone else notice the random release dates? Some are Winter some July 2016

I hope we can all play our characters in races. Also the Wii Fit Trainer is there to make the others look that more bitchin cool and awesome.

The Wii Fit Trainer is destined to become the mega rare one, you better buy 6

I'm a bit torn, as a self confessed Nintendo boy, with a taste for pointless Nintendo tat, these look kinda cool - like real life Smash Bros. trophies, but then they will likely be super common, and aren't as cool as some of the Japanese gashpons (for example) I already have and cost a LOT more. Not convinced on using a plastic figure to unlock something in Mario Kart that should just be DLC anyway, or that in the past might have been unlocked if you, say, owned a Pokemon game AND Mario Kart, I guess I'll wait and see what they do with the technology..

I'm pretty sure you can use them while they are still sealed in the box, like Skylanders.
Not too sure though.

US price works out at about £9 something depending on tax and I would be buying them from there in person.

Some of them are being sold for £10 now.
