Found 3rd Feb
I thought this was an exceptionally good price for pudding rice.It is not found in the section where rice pud and custard etc is normally found - it is with the basmati rice and spices.
Haven't tried it yet though.
Also online .

What a dope!!

Ummm? Where!

What is pudding rice?
We made different kinds of puddings with normal Tilda rice.

Heat given for posting but tbh, by the time you've bought the rice, milk, sugar, and cooked it, its cheaper to buy the ready-to-serve tins.

I've tried using ordinary rice as it is usually a cheaper option - it doesn't seem to work so well as it takes much more cooking and seems to lack the ability to go thick and 'pudding-y'

It is certainly easier if your priority is convenience ,but a very small amount of pudding rice will cook into a family sized pudding so it works out considerably cheaper .
It is the kind of thing to pop into the bottom of the oven if you are cooking something else on a low-ish heat or leave it in the slow cooker for a few hours.

Just bought one pack at Morrisons Yiewsley. Got back home, opened the pack to cook and saw the expiry date is Feb 2017. Am cooking it now to see if the taste is alright or not.
