Please shop responsibly. As Coronavirus uncertainty develops, we are seeing a lot of community demand for basic household items. Please do consider others - we all need to work together to ensure everyone gets what they need. So please don’t stockpile, and perhaps offer to help older neighbours, family or friends by sourcing items for them.

Just on the hunt for some coffee beans to take us through the lockdown and came across these. At only £5.33 a bag it seems a great price for £31.99 delivered. Reviews look pretty good for these but of course it is all down to personal taste.

Amorcaffe Intenso Taste Coffee Beans (6 Packs of 1kg) AMORCAFFÈ Coffee Beans are compatible with every coffee machine. Our goal is to offer you the best roasted coffee ever. We are pleased to offer you best quality at the lowest price possible on the market. We use only whole beans of first choice without defects. Taste: please note that our coffee has a strong character (“Intenso” means in Italian indeed intense, strong), with a very little note of acidity coming from the Brasilian Arabica beans. It is well balanced, with a distinct fragrance of toasted bread. This offer is about six (6) bags of coffee beans 1000g. Each coffee beans bag contains 1kg, so the total is 6 kg. This product is about whole coffee beans. You can buy our coffee beans 6kg product and use them in your machine!

coffee any good
Bought these in the past and found it undrinkable. Very bitter but that might just be me.
Looks too dark a roast for my semi automatic.

What do you usually go for?
Normally go for a strong espresso bean but try various types. I gave a bag to a friend and made a coffee for my missus with the beans and they both also found it to bitter. I still have 5 bags!

Use them for cold brew - easy to make and rather forgiving. All my failed "experimental" purchases end up as cold brew.

80% robusta and doesn't seem to have roast dates (but I've never bought it so could be wrong) so I would expect it to be pretty dark and irregular bean size/quality at this price; but that doesn't mean you won't like it, depends what you like.

Don't be so hard on yourself
I had this deal when @Amazoncrazy posted it. I like it. I'm no coffee expert though. My only beans I've bought since ditching the Tassimo.I do keep them in an air tight container though. Mine were direct from Amazon though , I think. They were freshly roasted at the time.

Edit: nearly a year.
and it wasn't a public deal

I'm on my 10th bag of this. It's cheap and tasty enough as a daily drink.

What happened to @amazoncrazy?
It's £5 a kilo, I've gone through 12kg past year and it is o.k for daily coffee, will be trying something different next time though for a change
