In Cribbs Bristol, they have this in the managers special for 2 for £14, at the till it comes up as £16 but tell the checkout and they adjust the price!

very good stuff, agree this is a little bit nicer.

For anyone who prefers bottles Asda had 15 330ml bottles of this for £9 with free Amstel branded glass (same as one on the packaging in op's link) a few days ago

Watered down to 4.1% and not to be confused with the original 5% Amstel with the red and white label. I'll stick with my Stella thanks. More body and taste and same price.

£9 for 12 in Sainsburys if that helps anyone.

Far nicer beer than Stella Artois, Stella since they change the recipe tastes absolutely awful.
Amstel is one of the nicer beers out there

They stopped supplying the 5.0% abv in the UK in 2003. It's a premium taste low abv beer and has been for some time. Might be time to move on and let it be. Heineken won't be bringing it back any time soon.

Well thankfully I've moved on,lol
As said,it's nothing like the original, Stella is miles ahead and this is not a premium Amstel beer.

Luckily I spend 6 months of the year in Greece where Amstel and most other beers are 5% ABV. To water down a good beer and market it using a trusted name is not moving on in my opinion. You may as well buy Carling or Fosters. Even Lidls copy of Stella is far better than this.

Lol. I bet you drink Skol too. Stella never changed the recipe, they lowered the ABV from 5.2 to 4.8 just as Amstel have lowered the ABV on this. Stella in Greece is still premium strength. Problem is that tax on alcohol content is forcing companies to cheapen products to compete.

They lowered the AVB down to 4.1 which still tasted reasonable but now it's brewed in this country, it just tastes watery. I would now avoid this lager but will possibly buy some on the continent. Your better off with Heineken instead (£8 for 12 bottles in Tesco btw). As for Stella, it tastes **** in this country. Try it in Belgium for the original taste and less of a hangover! They do a wine sized bottle at Christmas time imported from Belgium so you can taste the difference.

No dont drink Skol, still doesn't change the fact Stella does not taste the same as it did before.
