Absolutely! I will have to steal from my neighbours to buy this.
Great deal. I got a £5 off code from Currys but couldnt combine it with this offer. Arrgghhhhh frustrating
It cheeses me off when people vote cold on things just because it is more than they want to spend on an item to be honest.

if someone posted a Ferrari La Ferrari on here for 50k i am sure some would vote cold because you can buy a fiesta for 8 grand.

this is an absolute top of the line TV, and dont get me wrong, I agree it is way more than i would pay for a TV (i am waiting on the sony 75EX9405 to hit 3K or the 75EX9005 to hit 2k myself then i will be replacing my 70 inch sharp quattron.

but for what it is, it IS a very good price...... it is not competing against the 55 inch 600 quid Hisense TVs.

there are other places selling for similar price but this is not a cold deal by any stretch,

If you then return one that will be a total saving of nearly 20k on that TV!!
I was about to buy this, but instead I just bought 20 slightly smaller tv's and taped them together

Or 50 ps4 consoles.
Why us this cold? It's about 7 grand more than I'm willing to spend in telly but that's not the point. It was 20 grand and now its under 8. If you were after one it's a deal. I didn't buy anything last night from Amazon.de because I didn't want anything. Didn't stop it from being a deal though.
Man, great they're getting discounted this aggressively. I'm after a giant OLED to eventually replace my c6 and thought I wouldn't be biting for at least 5 years but looks like it'll be a much shorter time frame
...how anything costing £8000 could be classed as "An absolute steal!" is beyond me?!? ;-)

Concerning. Why so early

Nice TV but you're comparing different sizes. It's like saying my £400 53"" Vestel is better than your E7.

I may have missed the point, if I have then congratulations on the your E7 purchase, I'm glad you like it!
Great deal, ignore the misinformed idiots, they'll go back to their two for one on toilet roll deals in moments.

They need to bring back cinema 3D before I will be biting. Even love the fake 2D/3D conversion on my C6.

12 inches extra £5500.00 I’m not saying it’s a bad TV though
Why is this cold?
Ok some on here won't buy this. However can this be purchased cheaper anywhere else? No so it's a deal.
Does any savvy HUKDer really look at heat numbers now?

Very good point
This is a genuine hot deal with a predictably cold rating, given the standard HDUK trend. Probably would have gone red hot if the OP had found the last one reduced on the shelf in their local Tesco!

agreed..... home 3D was finally in a place to take off... active 3D is rubbish but at 1080p a necessary compromise on big screens because passive 3D halved resolution, but on a 4k TV, even only running at 2K, passive 3D using cheap cinema 3D glasses I thought would finally mean home 3D would take off.
and then it died!. <gutted>

Valid point but that said the vast majority of people spend more time in front of the telly than they do driving their cars.

Would I spend this much on a television? No I wouldn't but I can afford a far better motor than the 66 plate Focus I own yet choose not to because I find flash motors a waste of dough......a far bigger waste of dough than what an 8 grand TV is!

Heat from me because this a massive reduction.

If I was wedged up I'd have one for sure!
I can get 5% off wow

Why does it cheese you off? It's all about opinions, it's not a personal attack on you, take a chill

I love the 3D on my c6. Never getting rid of it and if it ever breaks and there's no alternative tech I'll pick up a used one.

With HDMI 2.1 and higher frame rates open a third party could implement an active shutter tech even if the set isn't natively capable.

Would have the same brightness but maybe not flicker free. But by then there won't be anymore home releases so it'll be catalog releases only.

But I really think for the future it'll be 2D only. I've started to catch a 3D showing at the IMAX laser which even blows away the LG and watching the 2D HDR at home.

Still have a ton of 3D to watch though.

Those personal opinions should be on the merits of if something is a good deal or not rather than if one can afford it or not.

I would hazard a guess that this deal offering a 60% reduction on the original price reaching -200 is far more to do with the latter.

As further evidence of this I've not noticed a single person mention it's available at this massively reduced price from quite a few retailers other than Currys to at least attempt to explain their cold vote.

If this was some ropey piece of old Beko tut with a Blaupunkt or JVC badge on it that's gone down to 80 quid from 200 quid the scratchers would be giving it 1000+ heat but that very same percentage reduction in the thousands rather than the hundreds it goes ice cold, priceless.

And let me finish off by adding this comes from someone who can't stand Lucky Goldstar, I have considered the brand two bob for decades and wouldn't touch anything LG with a barge pole but it still don't take away the fact this is a good deal.
LG have come a long way since then and are the only manufacturer to pull good yields at scale on oled, with all other brands having to buy their panels from LG, without exception.

Not disagreeing with anything you say and the delicious irony is that a sizeable percentage of the cold voters here probably own Lucky Goldstar televisions themselves, more likely the budget Barnados models granted but perhaps some might even be owners of the higher end 55" OLED sets too and turning this deal Arctic for totally the wrong reasons.

I'm not here to debate why I will never look at the LG brand positively or anything else like that, I just find the persistent cold voting on here on stuff most people can't afford/wouldn't buy because of the price most annoying and that's what I was commenting on.
