Cracking line-up and a great cause. Hot.

Harry Hill is the most unfunny annoying man...you couldn't pay me enough to make me go and see him...

TV Burp had an audience of 7-8 million (so Harry has his admirers). But that's not really the point is it? A bunch of entertainers putting on a show to raise much-needed dosh for a worthy charity. For a tenner? A good deal in my book.

And yet - he was once (a very long time ago) one of the funniest comics around. Radio 4, live gigs - then he sold out, and I'd now agree with you totally.

So why did you click on the subject then? Just to post this? Obviously he is going to annoy someone BUT honestly he isn't going to change his style for you!
I think Tim Vine is great and Harry Hill turns naff programs into funny ones and I have seen him live and was crying with laughter at one point...

Damn, wish this was closer to here..By the way, saw Katherine Ryan live and she's amazing. Look out for her!

Watching Harry Hill is like masturbating with a cheese grater - slightly amusing for a while, but ultimately painful.

Good price so heat added!

Bonus points if anyone can name the movie that line was lifted from

looks like a mint night, shame its so far south.

I loved TV burp and was bought some tickets to see his live show as a present. We left at the mid-session interval as did many others, it was agonisingly unfunny. Being wacky and doing random stuff does not necessarily = funny.

Anything that raises funds for work that help combat this hideous, insidious disease though is itself, to be applauded.

Agreed

I think part of the issue people have with Harry Hill live is that his stand-up comedy and his tv stuff are very different. The stand-up is very surreal and builds up callback after callback and is absolutely hilarious if you get it, but impenetrable if you don't. Meanwhile the Saturday evening tv stuff is very broad and family friendly and what most people know him for. Then they come to a show and expect the same thing live and get disappointed.

I grew up with The Harry Hill Show which was pretty much his stand-up on tv, this was before TV Burp and so I knew what to expect and loved it, but I saw people bring their kids and then leave in the interval cause they didn't get it. It's like if Reeves & Mortimer did a live gig and people were expecting Shooting Stars but got Bang Bang it's Reeves and Mortimer.
