An Englishmans continuing search through space and time for a decent cup of tea . . . Arthur Dents accidental association with that wholly remarkable book The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy has not been entirely without incident. Arthur has travelled the length, breadth and depth of known, and unknown, space. He has stumbled forwards and backwards through time. He has been blown up, reassembled, cruelly imprisoned, horribly released and colourfully insulted more than is strictly necessary. And, of course, he has comprehensively failed to grasp the meaning of life, the universe and everything. Arthur has, though, finally made it home to Earth. But that does not mean he has escaped his fate. For Arthurs chances of getting his hands on a decent cuppa are evaporating along with the worlds oceans. Because no sooner has he arrived than he finds out that Earth is about to be blown up . . . again. And Another Thing . . . by Eoin Colfer is the rather unexpected, but very welcome, sixth instalment of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. It features a pantheon of unemployed gods, everyones favourite renegade Galactic President, a lovestruck green alien, an irritating computer and at least one very large slab of cheese

Probably best to wait and see what WH Smith instore charge for it then use a £5 off voucher that seems never ending!

Actually 1p cheaper at the book depository... but personally will wait for the paperback anyway. Thanks for the info though, didn't even know he was writing this

No matter how respectfully done this is (I haven't read any reviews yet) surely it's going to be a shadow of anything Douglas Adams would've written?
Curiosity will probably get me in the end...

Down to £8.54 now...

My thoughts, when I heard someone was doing this, were "oh no" (tho I didn't add the "not again" so I'm not Agrajag).

However I spent 20 mins in Borders reading this and it's really quite well done - it's Douglas-y but not TOO Douglas-y. The author makes it clear how important the original books were to him (as they are to all of us I'm sure) and that he undertook the work with some care.

Douglas always made writing hard work - he spent eons getting things right, eons with writers block and I think his later work was suffering quite badly - his smaller pieces and ideas were usually better than his final works - and the original Last Chance to See was his greatest work of all IMO

So if you're worried, as I was, about this, I'd recommend you give it a try anyway...
