Why this deal is cold, is beyond me. This is a very good Champagne! I've been drinking it for years and can even remember it as low as £8 per bottle. Carpentier seems exclusive to Tesco and today, I picked up half a dozen at the same time I was buying their cheap cans of Pepsi ...although, I don't recommend you mix the two

I also agree with @spatter, Aldi Chanpagne is very good value, although it was £10.99 the last time I visited my local store.

As far as I remember this is quite acidic. That's why the Aldi stuff is so drinkable. It's light too
You are better off spending £10 on a brut Cava. It will be nicer. Just not 'champagne' . But if its that that's important and not the taste then go for it
