Same spec in my local Lidl (silver crest) for £14.99 with 5 year warranty & diffuser
I have just replaced this having had it less than a year. Really not great. Bought the 2400W one from argos for 14.99 in the clearance and it's way better.
I got the £10 Tesco own brand hairdryer - 2000w and works great . . . .

. . . . I honestly can't tell the difference between the £10 Tesco hairdryer and your BaByliss, Tresemmé, Revlon, TONI&GUY, Remington, blah blah blah, etc, blah.. . . .

They are all straight out of some cheapo Chinese factory and the quality of the motors and electrics is all to a good enough standard that they will last 3 years (and then likely snuff it).

The only brand that has ever blown me sideways (or knocked me for six) was Parlux - but you would expect them too given that they're £80 a dryer.

Andrew Barton is no better than Gary Lineker....

... Did Gary somehow turn a plain bag of walkers into a potato snack so fine that Kettle chips would no longer be considered a more exquisite nibble? No of course he didn't. Andrew in this case is topping up his pension pot by allowing his name to be stuck onto a very normal hair dryer.
