Another appliance that will get used by most once then chucked into the back of a cupboard somewhere only to be seen 7 years down the road whilst clearing out for the next boot sale!

I got one of these from aldi recently for £20. It really is great, I love it.

true dat, I would go for restaurants with trained chefs rather than a diy

Dread to think how much the leccy bill is to run this thing!

That's the reason we only use ours when we go camping! Great piece of kit though, use it every night when camping.

Its very good, we hardly ever use frying pans now, you can make burgers, strips of beef/chicken/lamb, kebabs, fish, bite sized pieces of meat and vegetables very quickly plus it is easy to clean unlike George Foreman which has been gathering dust for a few years now!

I've been thinking of getting something like this for when I stay away in hotels!

This could work!

seriously? don't think they'd be very happy about that!

does it come with the beni hana chef whites and bag o' tricks?

you'all do realise you can get stove top xl griddles? another duplicate gadget like the forman grill that is utterly pointless.

The stove top griddle worked OK when I had gas hobs but is rubbish on electric ones.
The George forman grills heat up quick and cook meat nicely. These don't do it as quickly but just as nice and the forman grill is difficult to clean. These are a bit of a pain to wash up to be fair as you have to take it apart. But can just give it a wipe after each use and wash it occasionally.

These do take up a lot of counter or cupboard space though, which is why I just use the oven grill.

Tempting... I'd like to think that I'd use it, but realistically it will sit in a cupboard.

Note, it says 1800w in the title, and 2000w in the description.

How do you stop your entire home from smelling like food? Do you use this under the hob extractor fan? by a window?

Only £22.99 on James martin own page with free delivery to mainland Uk.I made same mistake ordering a James Martin halogen Oven Amazon and had to pay postage .and found it was cheaper on his own page .

About 31p an hour on my tariff.

My gf got me one of these, and I LOVE it! So much easier than getting the frying pan out. It's super easy to clean, and gets hot crazy quick, and there's so much space! Great if you want to fry some eggs/bacon in the morning in a hurry. I put it on top of my hobs, so it takes up two spaces, but I've used it a lot. I'd definitely recommend one.

This grill has changed my life.

5*! Bought it long time ago and still in use when it's warm enough to keep the window open for couple hours!

got this from Aldi a few months ago for £20 - cold for that reason only as it's a great grill!

£20.39 delivered on Andrew James's official ebay store.

Had one, bought for a tenner years ago. Violently hot (as its supposed to be). Hard not to incinerate things.. Causes large amounts of smoke. Sets fire alarms off..
Went in the bin.

It's got a temperature dial and goes from screaming hot to warm. My mother uses hers to make bakestones / welshcakes. Bacon on it is amazing because you can get it so hot the bacon screeches and you don't have to use any oil.

Why did you post this?! I am now scrolling through a site that sells a teppanyaki grill that I am not going to buy and now stuck on 6 mini buckets to serve chips that I also really don't need

Not more than about 30p per hour - 2kW is two units per hour. And that's only if the element is on continuously which I doubt it will be even on the highest setting.

George Foreman vs Andrew James? I wonder if they will come to blows?

I can't blame you. We went to our hotels with our rice cooker and mini fridge... Just make sure it does not trigger the alarm!

Never use any oil frying bacon. It is fatty as it is - guilty pleasure!
