I was looking at the MyGica Smart TV Box on Futeko.com but came across this on Amazon. For the price given the spec seemed worth a punt. There are no review and can't find any online.

It has ICS, built in wifi and plays a good selection of file formats. I am assuming that XBMC for Android and Sopcast will be able to be side loaded but I'll report back once I get the item (should be Saturday) and mess about with it.

I'd be rather interested to see how you get on with this.
Love to hear from someone who has one... interesting.
Do you have to hardware a network cable into this or can it pick up a wireless network?
Bought one - thanks OP
Built in WIFI
It has wireless in it, just not sure about the XBMC on android?

I imagine they will come back and say this is a mistake, as this slowly gets hot, and everyone rams one.

Does seem a bit cheap - you'll need a wireless mouse to get the best out of it the remote control is useless
looks identical box to this kit at £90 .. but this one has a fancy keyboard remote thing.

Looks interesting and possibly very good...

No Bluetooth though (unless I missed it) so no way to replace the sh*tty remote control with a decent one with keyboard....

Also seems to state it has Wi-Fi but then says it will accept a wi-fi dongle...
ive been using one of these in my front room for a bout 8 months now so i have just ordered another for the bedroom, There is a app called VideoMix it netflix but better and free. well worth it just for this app IMO.

It says built in wireless more times than supports dongle, so I'll believe that!

I've got a cideko android unit, and mice and keyboards work fine. i imagine it will be the same with this.
It says built in wifi in the title description (but it does also say supports USB wifi dongle in the spec). I'll have it plugged in via ethernet cable anyway but as the description says built in wifi, I'm assuming it does have it built in.
Thanks op just ordered 1

All I really want it to do is stream from my XBMC based server, reading all the metadata etc. If it can do that I'm interested.
Looks good on paper for the price!

I'd be very interested to know how good it is .. I currently have a WDTV SMP in the lounge but at this price I would be tempted to buy one to go in another room ..
I have the earlier version running Android 2.3. The output via HDMI feeds my 42" TV and the quality of the display is extremely good at the 1920 x 1080 resolution. It runs most things from the 2.3 version of Google Play and I'm updating to this version so I can access the later Google Play Apps for ICS. I've attached a wireless keyboard and mouse without any problem. At this price the ICS version is a gift.
Nice price, handy for the spare telly.
i couldnt get it to work with XBMC but then i have the attention span of a child lol... but there is a xmbc app in the google store so it must work some how ..
These devices are getting ridiculously cheap!
I wonder how this will work with emulators and a usb gamepad ... hmmm.... i hope they honour this awesome price!

Not exactly the same, but very similar. This one has double the memory, but no storage I can see? The one you linked to has a 4Gb NAND on it, and costs 4.5x more!

After suffering at the hands of Play the other day on the Lumia 800 I'm not sure about giving it a go!

The reviews are overall positive, and with more ram this should be better. as for nand, theres enough storage options on this.
just out of interest, what does this have that say a new mobile phone doesn't?

no sim slot to make calls no camera and no touch screen, shouldn't be compared to a phone as it's a standalone unit
there's a load of cheap stuff from that seller! might be the right price?
Ordered thanks

tempted wonder how it would handle 3D SBS files. My current Cyclone 2+ lowers the quality somewhat.

Like one but don't need one
Got to take a punt at this price. Cheers op.
can someone please confirm the full benefits of this thing? had a quick read and is it just like my Asus O!Play which connects my tv to my hard drive and watch stuff?

Someone mentioned sopcast, does this mean we can watch sopcast channels directly on TV with this thing? That would be my biggest want!
