Introducing Geralt the Witcher - revered and hated - who holds the line against the monsters plaguing humanity in the bestselling series that inspired the Witcher video games and a major Netflix show.

Geralt of Rivia is a Witcher, a man whose magic powers and lifelong training have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless assassin.

Yet he is no ordinary killer: he hunts the vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent.

But not everything monstrous-looking is evil; not everything fair is good . . . and in every fairy tale there is a grain of truth.

Andrzej Sapkowski, winner of the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement award, started an international phenomenon with his Witcher series. The Last Wish is the perfect introduction to this one-of-a-kind fantasy world.

Made absolutely no sense to me.

Mind, I did buy it in Gdansk.
Wow. That's bargain. In Poland this cost a lot more..
I’m holding out for Kindle deals. I have 3 out of 8 books so far and totally in love with The Witcher world right now.
Also, £3 in-store pick up at the works or £4 delivered from the works on eBay. For those that don't have prime.
recommend the audiobooks too. They are told really well

Is this the original story? Not the series?

First book for the original story which inspired most aspects of the Netflix show

Not really... Salaries generally are lower, but prices are mostly comparable.

But this is cheap for a book. Really good offer. Book is also quite good, haven't read the translation though.
Bought this from the Works for 1 pound more. Three paragraphs in and there is already a scene with breasts, I guess this is the real deal!
