Thank you, just ordered.
That's a good price
Does anyone know if you can plug a movement sensor into this AC1120 unit? Is it exactly the same as the AC1100 but without the sensor mat?
Thanks
No you can't
I have the sensor mat one, fully recommend it. Personally video wouldnt give me the same piece of mind as the sensor pad.
I just sold the one with sensor pad, as You need it for the first 12 months only (SIDS) , then it's useless and very annoying. That's my opinion. I bought video monitor now and can't recommend it enough.
The sensor pad is a must have. This is just plain lazy! Here's an idea, get off your fat backside and go check on your baby!
I used sensor pad one (even though he slept with us for the majority of the time) and I can't recommend it enough.
We had a sensor pad one. This does look good. Not always about being lazy. We had a light sleeper and noisy floor boards. Here's an idea - let people make there own decisions and don't call them lazy!

I have the sensor one. If the sensor pad becomes unnecessary then just unplug then it becomes just a normal monitor?
I have a D-Link night and day ip cam and the app on my iPad to use for video.

£40 is not bad, Purchased this!
240 x 320 pixels is not high quality video by any stretch of the imagination.
Thank you :-)
great for worried mummy's who can get their kids into their own cot/bed lol we had a breathing monitor for my son worked great, got one for my daughter utterly useless its an expensive nightlight now as she wont go into her own moses basket or cot lol
Seems to be a cracking deal. Ordered. Thanks. Voted HOT.

Big generalisation. Also, not what the Which? report says.

Got a BT150 for our first. It failed after 8 months and the replacement was pretty iffy with the batteries - getting very hot at times and needed replacing within 6 months.
if you're just getting this for three video then just buy a wireless ip camera instead.

That way you can check on the baby using your much bigger phone/tablet screen, & cash result set up a dyndns address (there's guides on Google) & then check on them sleeping soundly if you're lucky enough to be enjoying a night out, this makes my wife actually enjoy herself whilst out instead of panicking & texting the babysitter back home!

Plus they're about £35, saving a fair few quid!
As for saying this is lazy I would seriously tell you to get a grip!!
I have a sensor pad and it saved my daughters life when she stopped breathing !
It's not lazy just an amazing bit of kit which can give every parent reassurance at what is a seriously stressful time
Maybe try not to comment on things you obviously know nothing about

In my opinion the best is:
1. Analogue sound monitor - Angelcare AC401
2. Monitor with sensor pad - Angelcare AC401
3. Digital sound monitor - BT150
4. Digital video monitor - Motorola MBP36
They are all in different classes so shouldn't be compared...

These are an unnecessary evil. As if new parents aren't paranoid enough, this will ensure you're sectioned within a month.

Clown.

This isn't the sensor pad, and I didn't say the sensor pad is lazy parenting, I said the video monitor is for lazy parents.

Why don't you read things properly before trying to be a smart @ss.
great deal.bought and heat added
sensorpad is useless, unless your kid is weak or very sick and your without proper sleep for like a week, otherwise is just a middle class wannabe gimmick/novelty.

as for this, yes, also for lazy sods or over protecting parents.

What a useless, uneducated, working class wannabe comment!

The sensor pad is excellent for very young babies and can give parents the peace of mind they need with all the SIDS warnings. All very young babies are potentially at risk because they still don't know the cause of SIDS, but they do know what actions you can take to reduce that risk!

As for the video monitor, not sure this has a decent enough resolution to be useful.

This transmits on 2.4GHz frequency. Check for Interferences (Cordless phone, Wifi etc)......Not just your own home wifi,...check for "strong" signals from neighbours...(metageek.net/pro…er/)

As someone suggested use ip camera instead....

How come everyone who raves about these sensor pads has a child who "almost died" and "stopped breathing" and their lives have been saved by these amazing gadgets, yet the rest who don't have one have managed to raise kids who have happily continued breathing through the night?

Doesn't really add up does it?

I really think these pads cause more un-needed worry and grief than the amount of lives they have supposedly saved.

I would like to do this, can you recommend a decent IP camera for £35 and also post some link how to set it up with an ipad. Thanks.

Personally I have the Angelcare monitor and mat (non video version) and have this camera amazon.co.uk/D-L…8-1
It's not as cheap as some but keep an eye on Amazon as it's usually around £65ish when in stock and sold by Amazon direct. D-Link have a free iphone/ipad app which works great. I actually have another of these camera pointing out my front window and it records anyone approaching my house and emails me the pics so least you have a use for it after no longer required for baby monitoring.
