For anyone worried about the 'low' power (approx 1.4A per port if all used, unknown if just 1 used from what I can see), I recently was forced to use an old LG 1A charger & to my surprise it was fine, charging my phone (LG G3) a little more slowly, but no moaning from the phone.

I reckon the odd slower charge will be good for the phone/tablet/powerbank!

Why not a US plug as well? I'd buy it if it had that.

"Not compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge. Quick Charge devices will charge at normal speeds" - given how many devices have QC these days, I'd skip this and look for one that does. In my experience Quick Charge does what it says on the tin.

1A is fine if charging overnight or similar but it's too slow otherwise imo. Especially once you're used to Fast/Quick Charge.

It fast charges Samsung devices that can use a 2A charger. Not that 1A is that slow anyway. I have one of these and never considered it to be slow or ever missed Qualcomm QC support, and I’m generally pretty impatient.

That's good to hear - we need more people like you in this world. Also for many other situations other than waiting for one's phone to charge.

Anyone tried this on a Huawei fast/quick-charging phone? Probably won't support fast-charging with them either, but worth an ask.

I mean your phone not fast charging is definitely a first-world problem (!) but this charger does everything else so well it’s a pity to write it off as it won’t ‘super duper ultra fast charge’ things. My comment was more in relation to I don’t like hanging about and I’ve never found this even slightly slow - that said as it has 4 ports I’d usually use the others to charge a power bank that I could take with me to get the remaining charge on my phone done.

In response to your other comment I used it on a Huawei Nexus 6P and it seemed to fully charge in around 2 hours (with the other 3 ports in use as well)so subjectively speaking anyway it’s pretty quick.

I checked the reviews on Amazon, which confirm that, as with other Anker products, it will output 2.4A per port up to the 5.4A total. This will fast charge 2 devices comfortably (i.e. at up 2.4A if they will take it). IMHO anything faster is asking for trouble (i.e. battery life shortened or worse going on fire). It will charge 3 devices at 1.8A which is also fine IMHO. 4 devices will charge at (an average) of 1.35A which will be a little slow, but again acceptable to me.

For anyone without prime, this can be had on eBay for £12.70 (only one left IIRC).

Sorry for the dumb@ss question, but is this simply just to allow you to charge up to 4 devices from one outlet?

Yes, & all of them at the same time (if required).

Not a dumb question btw.

Exactly what he said. Charge 4 devices at the same time, but perhaps more importantly, at a decent rate, with good efficiency, in a compact space and without slinging out tons of heat (like some of the cheapo brand ones). Call me an Anker fan but it’s quality stuff, even if not always the cheapest.

Cheers folks, I presumed that was the case but didn’t wanna waste my money.

Would defo be handy for travelling, I’ve ordered one now, thanks.

I’ve got a few Anker items now, most recently the Roav Dashcam, which I’ve just had installed professionally today, looks pretty good.

got the white ones and work really well, fast charging !

Yes, coming with the EU adapter is really useful but being an American company and not coming with a US adapter is just plain odd... anyway it’s awesome for travel, we just swap the UK end for the EU one and it’s a single charger and single socket to use in a hotel - perfect. I got 4 mixed cables and zip tied them together which keeps everything need and tidy too.

So when i plug my s7 to this will it show fast charging on the screen like it does on the official samsung fast charging plug?
