Was wondering that myself, the question I was wondering is can you charge it it at the same time as using it? (ie charging something else)

yes it would power a dashcam and you CAN charge it while it charges other devices but it may cause the device to get very hot and it isn't good for the battery's lifespan. It would work on the same principle as those solar powerbanks - they can charge via sunlight whilst providing a charge to the devices connected.

Where is this £2.50 bonus please? I thought it was only during 4th July.

Does it support qc 2.0/3.0

Doesn't look like it (the Anker one with QC I've seen are called "Powercore Speed")

This Mugen Power one on Amazon does QC2.0 and is less than £9 amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1
If it is faulty you need to go through myMemory and deal with them for a return. They tried to send me to Anker for warranty who said MM were not an authorised reseller so I had to send it back to MM. It was a real pain in the arse indeed being passed from pillar to post. Just be mindful of this fact. Mine didn't last a month so can't comment on quality.
ordered, thanks to the poster who mentioned the extra £2.50 from Quidco
Shame it's Micro USB, I'm looking to update mine to a USB-C version so I can carry just the one cable with me.

That's a good point. Thinking I might need to purchase some more cables.

Nope you need something like the thinkware dashcam battery. They are brilliant. Have 2 in 2 of my cars. Not cheap but well worth it. Got my installer to fit them. Its a passive battery that links to you car battery but only charges when the car is being driven. The dashcam is powered by the ivolt battery. Therefore, if in parking mode, the ivolt battery is drained then the dashcam powers off. It effectively takes the load of the car battery. Works 100% perfectly, unless the blackvue importer battery, which is garbage.
thinkwaredashcam.uk/pro…ni/

I have tested more than 20 dashcams over the past 10 years:
- The best make by far is Thinkware - F800 pro is great
- Blackvue are good but affect dab (used to be a fan of blackvue but their support is poor).
- Winycam is ok but also affects dab and build quality is not as good as thinkware or blackvue.
- Had the min802 and the pic quality was pretty good but build quality was dreadful, support and software is non existent (no idea why people rate them) - mine fell apart after a year despite me hardly touching it
- Avoid the cheap nasty £10 ones of ebay and amazon - you may as well set fire to a £10/20 note
- Avoid those with suction pads - they often fall off especially under hard braking (pointless) and as they are more visible you cant leave the windscreen/rear windows
- nextbase or anything in halfords/costco/recommended by autoexpress is a waste of space
- phones and go pros are useless - no proper parking mode/cant leave it in the car as something will nick it, poor night recording, no internal sd card/storage, etc

My attitude to dashcams is install and almost forget about it - just periodically check it

Just out of interest.....having used over 20 dashcams why do you pay someone to install the battery?
Thanks for the other helpful advice.

There are a lot more cheaper ones on the net. A decent recommendation is buy a half decent one. Or wait and just hope your battery charger does the job till then..
