I've had problems with non-powered hubs in the past (ie ones without their own separate power supply), presumably this hasn't been an issue for you? Thanks for your help

To be honest, I might not be the best case study because the accessories I've had plugged in have all had their own power supply - but I can say I've had two or three hard drives plugged in and running off this adapter 24/7 for the past few years on a linux box with no noticeable issues (and if you know anything about linux, you'll know that it quickly throws a massive wobbly if a hard drive it expects to be mounted un-mounts!).

Anker stuff in general I've always found to be really good quality affordable kit, so if anything can crack an unpowered USB hub, I expect it's them
