Anyone seen anything similar with twin ports? My problem is that I want one with interchangeable plugs, but US (the flat 2-pin ones).

Might be being blind but how many amps per port is this?

I'm after a dual port which can put out 2.1 on each port. Thinking this might work?

Anker make decent stuff. Own many cables, power banks and wall chargers by them. Never had a problem with any.

The 2 port version is one pound cheaper....and the anker webpage says it can output upto 2.4a per port. I imagine the 4 port outputs a similar level. The IQ technology varies output per attached device.

What has that got to do with the Syncwire and aLLreLi chargers that I'm asking about?

Just go with the anker and buy a travel adapter to plug it into?!

i bought 2 syncwire for the missus as she needs at least 3 ports, one for travelling and the other in the house and it is very good. it's intelligent charger well made but heavy with us pin built-in which folds out and you can attach the U.K. or Europe adapters. I have replied to a number of queries about the syncwire on Amazon.

HereKittyKitty

How many amps per port?

it is 27w, and mobile voltage is normally 5v, so output should be 2.4a per port. tablets require 2.4a to charge at a decent rate whereas older mobiles at least 1a

HereKittyKitty

How many amps per port?

sorry just redoing my maths, as it is a bit more complicated. max across 4 ports is 5.4a, and I assume max per port is 2.4a which anker don't seems to specify. for example if you're charging a tablet using one port and drawing 2.4a, then it leaves 3a to be shared across the other 3 ports, I.e 1a each.

People where trying to answer your question regarding the quality of the item the post is actually about, but because you couldn't be bothered looking for one with a twin port US plug yourself you were getting answers you didn't want and sounded very snotty in your replies and I'm the troll!!

I really don't care about how people that I don't know perceive me. I've made polite requests and queries and had some useful responses. But I've also had people who comment on posts without actually reading them properly - as IWANTBLUE mentioned - "skimmers".
This site is a tool, it's functional and there are lots of great people on here that are full of useful information, but they are in the majority. If I can help people, I always try to take the time to reply.

I think you missed the point, it's because people skim through things, that they misunderstood (_;) I can't influence how people read and look through what I read.
Anyway, OP, sorry that this has been taken off topic. Thanks for the heads up on this deal - it wasn't quite what I was looking for but because of your post, I might have found something that is!

The aLLreLi looks good and covers Australia which the syncwire does not but feedback about the former build quality and overheating put me off, so I went for the syncwire which I would highly recommend (if not travelling to Australia). If anyone need to charge 4 devices simultaneously, I would not recommend this Anker (they make good stuff but there are better on the market for the same value) as it is too low powered and the fact that Anker does not provide sufficient information that it only shares 5.4A across the 4 ports. The syncwire and aLLreLi is on offer (I got the syncwire when it was around £10 each) at the moment. Also don't confuse fast charge (which the manufacturers advertise) with the Qualcomm quick charge technology. None of these will "quick charge" any devices with quick charge technology

How quickly will this charge a QC 3.0 phone? Normal speeds?

this (or any of the devices discussed) will not quick charge see my last comment!

they don't even list this on their website. it's a lower grade device with only 27W.

At 12W/device, this should have 48W, not 27W.

the ones you want are "Quick Charge 2.0, Lumsing 25W 4 Port USB Mains Charger" or "Quick Charge 3.0, Dual USB Quick Charger [Lifetime Warranty] - RAVPower Turbo+ 30W Wall Charger - Fast Charger for Galaxy S7 S6 Edge /Plus, Note 5 4, LG G4, Moto G4, HTC One A9" which will do the same job as the samsung adaptive fast charger and both are on offer on amazon at the moment

yes agree with you that's why I would not recommend it
for 2 port adapters, to charge 2 tablets efficiently, you would 2 x 2.4A x 5V = 24W and therefore for 4 ports adapters if need to charge 4 tablets it would be 4 x 2.4A x 5V = 48W (i.e. same conclusion as you). For 27W this should be normal price or is over price at £9.99 !!!

Original Poster

Ankers 2 port version is rated at 24w, so 2 ports at 2.4a each.

The 4 port allows similar but you would not be able to fully load the device across all 4 ports. Some of the ports would revert to 1a.

But who has 4 devices charging all at once?

In that case, what do they (including anker) sell 4 port devices if they don't think there is a market for it? Duh?

Original Poster

When did I say there was no market for it?
Just described limitations of the device in that it can't charge 4 heavy load devices at once.
