The nylon braided version of Ankers lightning cable is considered very durable so this is a good price for a 6ft cable for the same price as a 3ft one.

I have had 2 of these both failed within 3 months. Anker replaced them no problem but they are not reliable

my daughter mullered 4 of these in 6 months. they are good cables though.
just not daughter proof.

Pros: fast charger
Cons: give it a few months and its stops operating properly, you have to fiddle with it and hold to charge.

In a nutshell I wouldn't buy it no more, although price dropped Down from £7.99

Thanks for reminding me need to get replacement from anker as 3 of them conked out within few months

bit worrying as recently ordered two!

hope it holds out for a while. not looking forward to the hassle of replacing them!

talk to them and they give you replacement free of charge without any fuss

I forked out more for the powerline+ ones that they do, and so far it has survived my partner. I'd say these will probably be good if you respect objects, if it's for someone that doesn't get the powerline+

Just get a USB extension cable off eBay for £3 and plug your lighting cable into that.

Am i missing something? this is the regular price.

Overpriced.

well, it has been noted that they are not reliable, but Anker duly replaces them...
sound like crap to me - nothing worse than suffering with a dodgy charging cable.

I paid £7.99 for this in Feb
even though it says 4000s times bend lifespan
mine gave up a few months ago

I saw smoke coming out of it and saw there some tear in the nylon
where it most likely bend a lot
so stopped using it (happened to a reviewer on amazon as well)
Amazon did give me a refund

do like the braided nylon
so giving anker another try
and got myself the newer powerline+ hoping they are more durable

They can easily slide out when tugged lightly, i would just use a basic extension lead if you want the socket closer to you.

Have 3 of these in our house. None have failed or deteriorated in any way. Would recommend but seems others have had issues.
Doesn't seem a deal tho, think that's what I paid for them anyway

Some of mine have been reliable from day one - I've had another two which I've had to get replaced - though the service from Anker has always been top notch.

Had to replace 4, all within a year. Stopped charging, unless you did a lot of wiggling. Easy process of replacements being sent but not great lifespan.

I've got two or three of these and one is on the blink now. It's the one I roll up and chuck in my bag several times a day so I can't say for sure any other brand would be more reliable, but my instincts are telling me these aren't quite up to the usual Anker standard.

TBH iPhone chargers are rubbish

Yeah one of mine gave out smoke too, company is good that they do replace but like it's been mentioned lifespan is crap

Well, there are some things worse... But true, cr4p cables are a PITA.

I would recommend going for the shortest cable possible for charging and reliability.

I've ordered 2 of of these. They arrived this morning, but after reading the reviews on Amazon, a bit concerned, reading about them lasting only a few months. Hey ho, lets. See what happens.

So many bad reviews and experiences and deal still goes to 220+ degrees oO

A good quality microusb charger cable for an Android phone won't cost you anywhere near £7. Everything is telling you to stop buying overpriced Apple products - step away from the dark side X)

Got the micro USB version and have failed twice. Anker have replaced, no questions asked but just we warned the quality isn't great. In my experience the standard black plastic Anker cables are better quality.

I've been using my Anker cables for years now and no issues what so ever.

They should be

What the hell do you people do with your cables? All of you saying they fail just treat their cables like ****. Same with people and Apple's own cables. So many people break things then blame the manufacturer for their own spaz fistedness.

Umm...ok, I think people use iOS for a reason, they don't enjoy lagdroid.

Same problem here with regards to failure. Had to wiggle the connector to charge after a few months.
Was replaced quickly though by Anker.

Lots of people stating reliability issues, while personally I've had 2 of these for almost a year and had no problems. Best charger cable I've ever had.

Always use £1 cables from Poundland and Poundworld. No problem so far. Keep spare ones for colleagues friends and family who are in desperate need to change their iPhone. These expensive cables are waste of money.

These aren't even worth £7.

Same here. Me and my other half have had our cables for about a year. No problems, all working fine.

It seems like all of the Lightning cables fail after a few months, regardless of what brand they are. Are there any that actually last?!

Go with Aukey if you wan't 3rd party cables - much much more durable!

(Still voting hot though, as this price is good, even if it only lasts a year, stops you having to soil the official one from the box!)

Anker are great. Excellent cables and chargers, great aftersales service to back it up.

Of all the Anker products I've bought, the only one that gave me trouble was a USB-C one I bought for my Nexus 6P earlier this year. They instantly sent out a replacement, no questions asked.

Now I'm on iphone, I've recently bought some of these lightning cables (1ft and 3ft) and they're fantastic.

Heat added.

I have the red 10feet micro USB version of this cable for 12months and I can't fault it. I know they had issues with the version 1 of this cable but make sure you have the new updated (powerline+) version and it has much better build quality around the connection. I see this version linked is the older one I would pay the extra few quid and get the newer version.

This is the one I'm using amazon.co.uk/Ank…F4/
