Anker appear to have released a new code for money off their 3000mAh charger, which also includes free delivery.

Discount: £3.99 off ( £13.99 ->£10.00)
Start Date: Now
Code:ASTROMIN

This code can be used on 3 colours ( Black, Silver and Pink ) but not blue for some reason.

I have one of these ( as well as an Astro E4 ), and it's come in very handy when I've been out and about and my phone has gone flat.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with an extended battery, and I get about 1 full charge of the phone from this charger.

With a Note 3 3200mAh battery, I reckon you'd get about a 60% charge from flat ... I get about a 95% charge for my 2000mAh battery ... if I was still using my stock Samsung 1440mAh battery, I'd get about a charge and a half.

I think this item is more appropriate for keeping in your pocket or bag for emergency situations when your phone runs out but have no access to mains power or a charger, so for me it does the job perfectly well .... comes with a neat little carrying bag and micro USB cable too !

These are great - bought one last time they were on offer. Handy when the kids forget to charge their phones - they can charge them on the way to school. It's not a matter of being able to fully charge a Note 3 multiple times - it's small enough to keep handy and will give you enough power to get your phone/iPod/etc. working.

Not quite the same item .... if you look on the packaging at the beginning of the video it say it's rated at 2600mAh, whereas this one is 3000mAh .... and he managed to get his iPhone up to 84% (whilst using it a couple of times whilst it was charging) with his 2600mAh one.

Any deals going for a more powerful one? I've misplaced my 2600mah one, but I only paid £5.99 for that so not keen to spend a tenner on this one

Bought a couple of this a while back just for charging my iPhone while I'm out and about, quickly fully charges my iPhone so its not bad IMO

Could not agree more with this, I use mine as a emergency charger.

Thanks OP, ordered a silver 1. Tried to order in blue but the code doesn't work for that colour (not bothered what colour it is really!).
Anker stuff tends to be quality IMO & their customer service gets mostly great reviews. Heat from me.

agree, instead of charging from 0 to 100 i would most likely only use this if i had to get a quick charge to keep the device working. Wouldn't use it to fully charge.

When you can pick up a 10,000mAh+ on for £20, 3000mAh seems a little redundant...

DOH _ I did not read the title opps

cheers op

Genuine question, any advantage of getting this over one of the cheaper Chinese ones? Do the Chinese ones break down or something?

Both the Anker chargers I have are solidly built. Even the packaging they come in is top-notch.

I've never required it to call upon it myself, but Anker products come with a 18 month guarantee. If you read the reviews on Amazon for their products you'll see a few where people have moaned about something not working, and Anker CS department have replied to their review asking them to get it contact via email, and they've been issued with replacements.

I can't see ebay sellers of the cheaper models doing that !!

now I did buy one of these and I must admit I was actually happy with it until I read some of the comments on here. As it won't charge the battery in my car I think this must actually be ice cold. my bad

I have one of these and the Astro 2nd gen. Cannot fault it nor the excellent customer service I received when I had a problem with cable on the Astro battery.

You mean it can't fully charge a car battery, whilst simultaneously charging 4 iphones in under 5 minutes. This thing must be buried beneath the north pole because it's so cold:p

.....This is a very good deal OP

top quality chargers i only buy anker for portable battery's now and what people are for getting this is a deal none the less for £10 your getting a 3000mah charger perfect for emergencies/journeys without power.

Cheers OP, been watching these for a while as an idea for the kids, just to keep as an emergency. The discount code makes it a good deal.

Bought one, thanks

Which 2nd gen and how would you compare the two?

I might just wait for the 6000mAh 2nd gen to come down in price. It's a little heavier than this one though (135 grams compared to 80 grams).

I have the Astro3 12000mAh which I use for the family when out n about. It's a little heavy but it's great to be able to charge multiple devices at the same time. So when I'm out on me own I just use the mini which it's not at all heavy and I can easy keep it in me coat pockets.

Hmm my only issue is, you would have to carry around the USB cable with it right?

code not working?

Code worked fine for me on the black Model.

could it be cause its the second one I'm buying?

I'm tempted to buy this; but one question though. How do I charge this? Using the phone's MicroUSB charger?

Charge time: 3-4 hours via AC 0.8A adapter (not included).

it comes with a neat little carrying bag which is big enough to hold both the charger and the cable.

Cheers op bought earlier and didnt use code found your deal and used code and cancelled old order. Reason Im gong for this is its an anker and if it develops a fault they are very good, cant say the same for some higher generic version. Code worked fine for black btw.

13.99 again.

The ASTRO2NG code doesn't work anymore

This £3.99 voucher has expired, but I'll wager this £10 product branded TeckNet is exactly the same thing.
