Looks like a reviewer took it apart and the quality of the packaging and components seems to be suspect. I would rather pay more for a reputable brand like Anker. I am not going to burn my house down for the sake of £10.

    Amazon review:
I bought this as a surge protector as this is how it was advertised - very clearly - on Amazon. The product packing mentions surge protection with a suitable symbol but calls itself a 4 Way 13A Power Extension Socket. However, the product itself makes no mention of surge protection; you would think surge protection would be a major selling point as well as the overload protection it says it offers. There is also a reference to surge protection in the badly written instructions but those same instructions also mention USB sockets which it does not have, unless the rogue full stop has confused the meaning of their sentence. As another reviewer has observed, the English on the packing and instructions is appalling and, given that it is marketed by a London company this is unacceptable, I feel. I will email the makers and get confirmation that it does what I want or else it will be returned. Amazon, I am not impressed.

**** EDIT: Out of curiosity - and since I am capable do not do this if unsure - I took the unit apart. It contains NO circuitry at all although there is one component soldered between the +ve and -ve main bars. I will keep it as a normal 4-gang lead but have bought a Belkin surge protector.****

this seems expensive, much cheaper out there with individual on off switches.

Totally different product - that doesn't have USB outlets, let alone USB-C with power delivery. I think you missed the point of this deal.

Where are the USB ports on that one?

Not directly comparable to the product that's posted.

Do you have a recommendation? I am looking for one.

USB with Power Delivery. Good stuff - better than the usb-c sockets limited to 5v / 3 A. Unfortunately 18 W is a bit 2019 and the world has moved on to 20 W but it’s still a good start
